Hippity Hoppity Easter is on it’s way!

It’s springtime (finally!) and you know what that means – Easter!

Easter is next weekend (April 5, 2015). Have you finished making up an Easter basket for your child or grandchild yet? What about a special Easter treat for someone older like a teen or an adult? After all, grownups enjoy sweet treats at Easter too.

There are plenty of yummy holiday candy found in abundance at your local grocery or retail store, but not all of these treats are geared towards grownups. For those who can appreciate the finer things in life, check out these adorable (and delicious!) offerings from Lindt.

Also available are these adorable Mini Chicks. They come 5 to a package (not all of them are seen in the photo).

Mini Chicks

The Mini Chicks, Little Chick and Gold Bunny are too cute to eat! I get a Lindt Gold Bunny every year for Easter and it takes me a while to eat him because I feel bad breaking him up because he’s so cute. I haven’t the heart to eat the Little Chick (yet). As for the Mini Chicks a few of them have already been enjoyed.

Young and old alike enjoy Lindt products, I just think they are more geared towards grownups because it’s a finer quality of chocolate that is meant to savor and enjoy, not gobble up along with an assortment of jelly beans and marshmallow bunnies. LOL!

I love how rich, smooth and creamy their chocolate is. It melts in your mouth. It’s the kind of chocolate that you savor each morsel.

Lindt products are available online, at Lindt stores and at many retail locations. Look in the Easter candy section. Not all products are available at all retail locations. If you are looking for a specific product, like Little Chick, your best bet would be to order online or visit a Lindt store near you.

Premade Easter baskets are also available on the Lindt website.

Lindt Easter Basket

Please note that until April 5, 2015 (Easter), for every Lindt Gold Bunny (3.5 ounce) sold, Lindt will be donating .10 cents to Autism Speaks. They have been doing this for several years now. I think it’s a wonderful thing. In addition they also auction off autographed Lindt Gold Bunnies signed by celebrities to also benefit Autism Speaks.

For more information about any of these products or other Lindt products visit LindtUSA.com. You an also find the brand on social media (Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Instagram). The links are found at the bottom of their website.

Classy gift ideas from Lindt

New York Lindt Chocolate

The holidays are upon us. Many people are scrambling to find the perfect gift for that someone special on their holiday gift list. Other people are looking for gifts for other important people in their life such as your favorite hairdresser, mailman, child’s teacher, neighbor and co-worker.

Sometimes it’s hard to buy gifts for those people (hairdresser, mailman, teacher…) because you don’t really know what kinds of things they like or don’t like.

Chocolate is always a nice gifts option (make sure the recipient is not allergic to chocolate). Personally I always enjoy a box of gourmet chocolates. It’s a nice gift and its something I can share with my family.

Chocolate also makes a nice hostess gift. If you are planning on attending any holiday (or New Years) parties this holiday season don’t forget to pick up a gift for your lovely hosts.

Lindt has a wonderful collection of chocolate truffles that come packaged in such a way that makes them ideal for gift giving without having to wrap them.

The special collection is known as the Lindt New York City Collection. The new collection features an assortment of gifts in packaging adorned with the iconic sights of New York. The collection is available at Lindt Chocolate Shops in Manhattan (692 5th Avenue and 665 5th Avenue) and includes four different pieces at various price points so you are sure to find something to suit your budget.

All of the packages are travel and luggage-friendly too so you can take them home with you as a sweet memory of your time spent in the city.

New Yorkers can stock up on these beautiful sets to give as gifts and even keep a few on hand to serve to holiday guests.

Lindt New York Chocolate

The available sets include;

New York 75 Count LINDOR Gift Bag: Guests can create their own assortment of more than 20 varieties of LINDOR truffles in this elegant paper gift bag, designed with the New York skyline and a snap top closure for travel ease (SRP: $25).

New York Novelty Gift Box: Filled with assorted Milk, White and Dark LINDOR truffles, this festive box has a clear window to showcase the beautifully wrapped LINDOR truffles (SRP: $12).

New York LINDOR Gift Box: Give the gift of LINDOR with this customizable brown and gold box filled with 30 irresistibly smooth LINDOR truffles in assorted flavors. A clear window on the box lid allows a personal message or business card to be customized to any recipient. (SRP: $22).

New York Swiss Luxury Selection: A sophisticated collection of elegant European-style pralines are adorned with the silhouette of New York City against a stunning blue backdrop (SRP: $18).

I am fortunate to try out all four gift sets.

We gave the New York LINDOR Gift Box (the one in brown) as a gift. We wrote “Happy Birthday” and the recipient’s name on a piece of paper and slipped it into the window. We didn’t have to wrap it. She loved it! Plus the box is well made. It can be re-purposed to house jewelry, photos or knick knacks.

The 75 Count LINDOR Gift Bag is HUGE! It’s much bigger then it appears in the photo. There are 75 truffles in the bag. That is more than enough to offer to holiday guests or bring it into work to share with your co-workers. I am going to give the bag of truffles to my co-workers so that they can all enjoy some.

If you purchase the 75 count gift bag in the store, or online, you can choose your flavors.

I LOVE the box of New York Swiss Luxury pralines. Oh my! They are SO good and very rich and flavorful. As much as I wanted to eat all of them, just one is more than satisfying.

I love the box (and bag) design. It’s a perfect representation of this big, beautiful city of ours.

The packaging looks wonderful “as is”. I would never think to wrap any of these.

Each box/package is filled with a nice assortment so you are sure to find  your personal favorites. I happen to like ALL the truffle flavors.

I have seen the New York City collection sold on the Lindt website (LindtUSA.com). Currently the 75 piece gift bag is on sale – buy 3 get 2 FREE! That’s 375 Lindt truffles! That would be a great deal if you are hosting a party or even an office party.

Hippity Hoppity… Easter’s on it’s way. Celebrate with Lindt and help raise funds for Autism Speaks

Easter is almost here. It’s hard to believe that since I associate Easter with green grass, tulips and warm weather. It’s almost April and it’s still bitterly cold outside. If it wasn’t for aisles full of Easter goodies at the local grocery store and retail stores it wouldn’t even seem like the spring time holiday.

It’s customary to give children (and adults) baskets full of candy and other sweet treats. Lindt, makers of mouth-watering truffles and other chocolate delicacies, has plenty of delightful Easter options that are sure to please family and friends.

New this year is an adorable 1.7 ounce hollow Lindt Gold Bunny paired up with a fuzzy pair of bunny ears. The suggested retail price is $6.99. Even though I have teenagers they both had fun with the pair of bunny ears that I was sent to review. They even tried to get the ears on our dog and one of our cats. Needles to say our four-legged family members were not overly thrilled by it.

Another new addition to the Lindt Easter product offering this year is the Lindt Carrot Box. The carrot shaped box is filled with the cutest miniature chocolates. They are too cute to eat! There is the famous Gold Bunny along with a lamb, chick, lady bug, carrots and miniature Lindt eggs. The hollow chocolates (Gold Bunny, chick and lamb) are made out of milk chocolate. The ladybug and mini-carrots are made out of hazelnut crisps. The eggs are made from Lindor milk chocolate. The suggested retail price is also $6.99.

You can never go wrong with a bag full of miniature chocolate truffle eggs. The bag is perfect for tucking inside and Easter basket or your purse. 🙂 Each miniature egg is individually wrapped and at $2.99 a bag you can pick up a few to enjoy now and long after Easter is over.

Your Easter purchases can also help to raise funds and awareness for Autism Speaks. For each Lindt Gold Bunny that is sold, Lindt will donate .10 cents to Autism Speaks (up to $100,000). It’s a win-win situation. A great charity gets a much needed donation and you (or a loved one) gets to enjoy a melt-in-you-mouth-yummy Lindt Gold Bunny.

In addition Lindt has a fun Facebook app that will donate $1.00 to Autism Speaks AND you’ll be entered to win a Lindt Easter Basket.

The app will ask for some basic information (name, address, e-mail) in case you are the winner. Once you complete that you’ll go to a lovely field scene where you need to locate three blue puzzle pieces. For each piece you find Lindt will donate $1 to Autism Speaks. In addition there will be other items you will need to find (Lindt eggs, Lindt lamb, Lindt candy…). You need to find the items as quickly as possible. It seems hard but it was actually rather easy. It was fun to play and it makes me feel good knowing that $3.00 will  be donated to Autism Speaks because of it.

Go here to play the game – Lindt Scavenger Hunt Game.

Easter is almost here so don’t delay. Hop on over to your nearest Lindt retailer (or shop online) to pick up some yummy Lindt Easter treats.

Visit www.LindtUSA.com to check out all the available treats (both holiday and non-holiday candies). You can also find the brand on Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest (social links found at the bottom of the Lindt home page).

The Frog Prince would make a great gift for a friend or co-worker who might be on the look out for a few frogs to kiss this Valentine’s Day in hopes she can find her Prince Charming.

My favorite is the heart shaped box with the assorted individually wrapped pieces of Lindt Truffles. The box contains my favorite truffles. My all time favorites are the dark chocolate truffles. Mmm!!!!

I like that the pieces are individually wrapped. You also know what you are getting unlike other boxes of chocolates where it’s a mystery as to whether or not you are going to bit into something with nuts, coconut or a cream. You know what you are getting with Lindt truffles.

The heart shaped box is also pictured on the top of this post in gold. The photo above shows the box without the lid on it.

Lindt has plenty of other delicious Valentine’s Day gift ideas. You can also find Lindt products at many retail locations across the country. Even our local grocery store sells Lindt (thankfully :-)).

Lindt Excellence Diamond Chocolates

Lindt Logo

Do you want to hear something funny? I was asked if I wanted to review some Lindt chocolates. As if I would say “no” to that! LOL! :-)!

I’ve been a fan of Lindt chocolate for many years now. I especially love their truffles and gourmet chocolate bars.

Lindt has a new chocolate that they just launched called Lindt Excellence Chocolate Diamonds. No, they are not sparkly or come covered in “bling”. The diamond part comes from their shape and the fact that they are decedent and luxurious like diamonds.

Lindt sent me two bag of the Lindt Excellence Chocolate Diamonds to try out – 70% Cocoa and an assortment of Dark Chocolate flavors (Chili, Sea Salt, Orange and 70% Cocoa).

Lindt Excellence Chocolate Diamonds

I have nothing but wonderful things to say about the 70% Cocoa diamonds. I am a big fan of dark chocolate. The higher the percentage of cocoa the more I like it. I like my chocolate to have a strong taste more so then a creamy/sweet taste.

The Chili diamond is spicy and hot. Not too bad. But keep in mind it does have a “kick” to it.

The Sea Salt flavor does not have specs of salt on it like I would expect. It’s blended up well into the chocolate. It have a subtle salty taste to it.

Lindt Diamond

My favorite by far is the Intense Orange flavor is out of this world! The idea of chocolate on oranges sounds kind of gross, but trust me, there is NOTHING gross about this chocolate! In fact I gobbled up all of the individually wrapped Intense Orange piece that came in the bag in a matter of two days. I loved it so much that I am going to buy an entire bag of them if/when the opportunity presents it’s self. We don’t have a Lindt store at our mall anymore, and I haven’t seen them in our local grocery store yet. I will keep an eye out for them.

Aside from the remarkably delicious taste, I love how each one is individually packaged. They are great for taking on the go with you (drop one into your purse for our your special someone’s lunch for a sweet treat anytime). Being individually wrapped also helps me to control my eating. I could easily eat several of these at one time. To avoid that I simply take out one indivudally wrapped chocolate, close the bag and put it away. 🙂

Look for Lindt Excellence Chocolate Diamonds where ever Lindt products are sold.

For more information about these and other Lindt products visit www.LindtUSA.com. You can also find the brand on Facebook and Twitter. For some real “eye candy” check out the Lindt Pinterest page too.

NEW! Classic Recipe Product from Lindt

Stawberries Cream

About a week ago I received an e-mail from Lindt asking if I would like to receive a special package from them. Umm…. YEAH! What kind of a silly question is that? LOL! Of course! I Lindt chocolates. I’m still heartbroken that the Lindt store at our mall disappeared. Thankfully Lindt products are more readily available in local grocery stores so I can still pick up some Lindt truffles (my favorite).

I received from Lindt two of their Classic Recipe chocolate bars. They are new from Lindt. The flavor is Strawberries & Cream.

When I think of summer foods I always think of picking berries, like strawberries. My great-grandfather had strawberries. I used to go over to his place pretty much every day and pick the strawberries from the bush and eat them right there. As I write this I have about 2+ pounds of strawberries in my fridge that I picked up yesterday at the farm.

I couldn’t wait to unwrap and try out the Lindt Classic Recipe Strawberries & Cream bar.

The moment I tore into the foil you could smell the strawberries. The fresh scent hits you right in the face. It’s as if someone just put a bowl of fresh strawberries in front of you.

Lindt Classic Recipe Strawberries & Cream

I’m not a fan of white chocolate. Sometimes it’s good. Other time I find it a tad bit too creamy. This was actually pretty good. As I ate it you could really tell that it was strawberries and cream.

I experimented with my husband. I didn’t tell him what chocolate I wanted him to taste because I wanted him to tell me what he thought the flavor was. I had him close his eyes and I gave him a piece of the Lindt Classic Recipe Strawberries & Cream. Before the chocolate even made it into his mouth he said “strawberries“. I asked him why he thought that and he said he could easily smell it was strawberries.

After enjoying the piece for a few moments he said again “strawberries“. I asked him if the flavor was just strawberries, or strawberries and something else. He replied “strawberries and cream” and “strawberries and white chocolate“.

Even without knowing what he was eating my husband was able to taste exactly what he was eating – strawberries and cream. Lindt truly captured the taste in this chocolate bar.

Strawberries and Cream Lindt Classic Recipe

Check out the bits of strawberries too. I took the photo of the back of the chocolate because it showed the strawberry bites more so than the other side did.

If you love strawberries, strawberries and cream or chocolates from Lindt you are going to love their new Lindt Classic Recipe Strawberries & Cream.

Look for these delicious, and aromatic chocolate bars at a Lindt store near you. You can also purchase them online at www.LindtUSA.com.

You can also find Lindt on Facebook, Twitter and even Pinterest.
