It’s Crabfest time at Red Lobster!

Red Lobster Crabfest

Attention seafood lovers… it’s Crabfest time at Red Lobster!

I love crab. I love it A LOT. I just have no clue how to cook it. If I knew how I’d probably eat crab on a weekly basis.

As soon as I heard it was Crabfest time at Red Lobster I have been anxiously waiting for my family and I to go. Thankfully we finally got to go this weekend.

If you follow me on Instagram you probably saw the photo of my dinner.

Red Lobster has brought back it’s popular Crabfest featuring the largest variety of crab-based dishes. The dishes include new types of wild-caught Alaska seafood, like Alaska Bairdi crab, as well as dishes for every crab lover, like:

  • NEW! Wild-Caught Crab Legs Dinner
  • NEW! Crab Lover’s Dream
  • NEW! Wild-Caught Snow Crab & Seafood Bake

In addition to crab, Red Lobster has added wild-caught Sockeye and Coho salmon while they’re in season this summer, delivered fresh to the restaurants from the icy waters of Alaska. They can be paired with the NEW! Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes & Crab-Topped Salmon dish during Crabfest or simply grilled on Red Lobster’s wood-fire grill.

Let me tell you, it was nearly impossible to narrow down which crab meal I wanted. I was torn between four of them. We kept telling the waitress to come back because we were not ready to order. I think my family was getting a bit antsy because they were starving and wanted to order. I finally ordered the Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes which came with seasoned wild rice and a side (I chose a baked potato with sour cream and butter).

No meal at Red Lobster would be complete without their famous Cheddar Bay Biscuits. Mmmmm!!!

Cheddar Bay Biscuit

We also ordered our usual appetizers. Red Lobster has plenty to choose from but my kids love their mozzarella sticks and I MUST get their stuffed mushrooms (I LOVE their stuffed mushrooms).

We also love their salads which come with the entrees. I opted for their Ceasar salad. I LOVE the big shreds of Parmesan cheese they sprinkle on top.

To be honest with you the appetizers and salad are filling enough, but there was no way I wasn’t going to eat my Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes. I actually only ate half of my meal and took the rest home and enjoyed it later on in the evening (we had an early dinner at Red Lobster).

Crabfest at Red Lobster

I’m sorry that the photos are not the best. If you have ever eaten at Red Lobster you know they have ambient lighting to add to the enjoyment of dining there.

Not that it’s part of Crabfest, but their seasoned wild rice was SO GOOD! The next time I go to Red Lobster I’ll see if it’s a side dish option. If it is I’m going to order some. It was really good.

The Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes were REALLY good. Really, really, REALLY good. 🙂 They were a nice size and thick, just the way I like them.

If that doesn’t make your mouth water (I think I’m drooling looking at the photos and remembering how delicious my dinner was), check out the other available meals that are part of Red Lobster’s Crabfest.

Win the Ultimate “Lobsterworthy” Celebration from Red Lobster

Are you a fan of Red Lobster? I sure am. I LOVE Red Lobster. We don’t get to eat there as often as we’d like to. It used to be a “special occasion” restaurant for my family, but we are slowly making it a place that we frequent more often.

Right now Red Lobster’s awesome “Lobsterfest” is going on. For a limited time Red Lobster is offering guests special lobster dishes that will make your mouth water.

Right now for Lobsterfest Red Lobster has available the following lobster dishes.

I have been anxiously waiting for the opportunity to head over to our local Red Lobster restaurant to take advantage of Lobsterfest before it’s too late. If it’s not one thing it’s another (this person is sick, that person has plans, it’s snowing, we have to go away…). Ugh! I am keeping my fingers crossed that at least my husband and I can go this coming weekend. I have my eyes set on the Dueling Lobster Tails or the Lobster Lover’s Dream meals.

What meal from the Lobsterfest menu would you love to try out?

In addition to Lobsterfest, Red Lobster is also hosting a #Lobsterworthy Contest. The contest gives Red Lobster fans the chance to win the Ultimate Lobsterworthy Celebration.

Each week, Red Lobster will announce on its Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages the prizing and themes of the contest, and guests can submit images of their lobsterworthy moments using #lobsterworthy and #contest.

This week (March 16 to 22) the theme is Sweethearts. Next week (March 23 to 29) the theme is Sports.

To enter simply check on the weekly theme and upload a photo of you, your friends and/or family that pertains to the them using BOTH hashtags (#LobsterWorthy and #Contest). You should also consider following Red Lobster on social media too since they will announce the weekly winners on their Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages.

Submissions will be judged in line with the weekly themes. There will be two winners each week who will receive a special prize.

One grand prize winner will win an all-inclusive trip for FOUR to Hawaii! My father and step-mother just got back from a two week vacation to Hawaii this past Thursday. I’ve always dreamed of going myself some day and bring my family. A trip to Hawaii sounds GREAT – especially after the winter we’ve had.

Don’t wait to enter the contest because it ends soon. Also, those amazing lobster dishes are also only available for a limited time. Once Lobsterfest is over those mouth-watering dishes will be gone too.

Check out Red Lobster’s BIG Shrimp Festival

Parmesan Shrimp Scampi (Left) and Shrimp Linguine Alfredo (Right) from Red Lobster

Do you love shrimp? Mmm… I LOVE shrimp. I love it A LOT. I used to buy one of those small cocktail rings available at the grocery store and gobble up all the shrimp myself. 🙂

Whenever we eat out (as rare as that might be) I always make sure to check out the restaurant’s seafood menu. I do make fish at home, but seafood like shrimp, clams, calamari, and salmon I leave to the restaurants to create my mouth watering meal.

One of my favorite seafood restaurants is Red Lobster. Not only do they offer delicious seafood options, their biscuits are out of this world.

Red Lobster is having a super sized promotion right now, their first ever Big Shrimp Festival, which features some of the largest shrimp ever offered on the new menu.

Big Shrimp! Yummy!

As part of this promotion guests can mix and match two Big Shrimp selections for $15.99, or three for $19.99. The prices are slightly higher in Alaska, Hawaii and Times Square (NYC).

There are several options you can choose from including a few new flavor options:

  • NEW! Crispy Tempura Shrimp
  • NEW! Extra Jumbo Spicy Sriracha-Grilled Shrimp
  • NEW! Ultimate Shrimp Scampi Pasta
  • NEW! Brown Butter Shrimp Scampi
  • NEW! Extra Jumbo Garlic-Grilled Shrimp
  • Guest Favorite Parrot Isle Jumbo Coconut Shrimp

Check out the television promotion. I must warn you, don’t watch this brief video if you are hungry. All of the food items they show look so scrumptious!

If you want more information about the Big Shrimp Menu please visit the Red Lobster Specials page.

I MUST try the Crispy Tempura Shrimp. That looks so good!

All entrees come with your choice of salad and unlimited Cheddar Bay Biscuits too.

Needless to say I am making arrangements with my family to head on over to our local Red Lobster ASAP to take advantage of the Big Shrimp promotion before it ends. I’m hoping we can go soon.

I know I’m going to have a hard time choosing from the menu options. I think I’ll go with the Crispy Tempura Shrimp and the Extra Jumbo Garlic Grilled Shrimp.

If you would like to find a Red Lobster location near you please visit www.RedLobster.com. You can also find Red Lobsters on FacebookTwitter and Pinterest.

Are you a fan of Red Lobster? Do you love shrimp? What do you think about their Big Shrimp promotion? Which menu option are you interested in the most? Please feel free to share your thoughts.

Got Shrimp? Red Lobster sure does!

NEW Sriracha Shrimp at Red Lobster.

NEW Sriracha Shrimp at Red Lobster.

I love seafood – crab, lobster, shrimp, fish, calamari, clams… you name it, I love it!

I wish I knew how to cook fish. The only fish I know how to make is fish sticks and how to open up a can of tuna. 🙂

In order for me to enjoy my beloved sea food I have to order it at a restaurant, like Red Lobster.

Currently Red Lobster has a special promotion going on called Endless Shrimp. If you are a shrimp lover this promotion is for you. You can enjoy shrimp cooked a variety of different ways and as much as you want. You can mix it up too and try a few different varieties.

My family and I recently went to Red Lobster and I was excited to order from the Endless Shrimp menu. I chose the two shrimp option from the menu and ordered Shrimp Linguine Alfredo and Parmesan Shrimp Scampi. My daughter is also a shrimp lover and she ordered Garlic Shrimp and also the Parmesan Shrimp Scampi.

Best biscuits ever!

Best biscuits ever!

We stared off our meal with Red Lobsters “to-die-for” biscuits. Have you ever had them before? They are out of this world delicious!

My family also shared an order of mozzarella sticks as an appetizer. We followed that with a yummy salad with balsamic vinaigrette dressing. I suspect the vinaigrette was raspberry vinaigrette. It had a berry taste to it.

Red Lobster

To be honest with you I was getting full between the biscuits, mozzarella sticks and salad but I kept some room in my tummy for the shrimp.

I ordered French Fries with my meal. I don’t know why. I was in the mood for fries.

I didn’t know what to try first – the Parmesan Shrimp Scampi or the Shrimp Linguine Alfredo. They book looked so good.

The Shrimp Linguine Alfredo was so good. The rich, creamy, cheesy Alfredo sauce went beautifully with the juicy shrimp. I couldn’t get enough of it. In fact I had planned on ordering more as part of my Endless Shrimp meal but I was too full from all the great food I had eaten thus far.

The Parmesan Shrimp was equally as delicious. I love Parmesan cheese. I’ve never had it on shrimp before. Parmesan and shrimp taste great together.

I loved it so much that I ordered more Parmesan Shrimp. It’s part of the reason why I didn’t order more of the Shrimp Linguine Alfredo – because I was full from everything I had eaten. I was also planning on trying the Coconut Shrimp Bites, but I was too full.

The available shrimp options as part of the Endless Shrimp promotion include;

My second helping of Parmesan Shrimp Scampi.

My dinner was very satisfying. In hindsight I should have skipped the mozzarella sticks and salad to make more room for the shrimp dishes.

The Endless Shrimp promotion at Red Lobster is going on right now until November 2, 2014. I am hoping to get back to Red Lobster before then because I really want to try the Coconut Shrimp Bites and more of the Shrimp Linguine Alfredo.

If you’d like to find a Red Lobster location near you visit www.RedLobster.com. You can also check them out on social media like Facebook and Twitter.

Do you have a favorite shrimp dish from Red Lobster? Of all the Endless Shrimp options, which one do you think sounds the yummiest?

All done! It was YUMMY!
