As an animal lover I find it important to support programs and campaigns that help animals.
I just learned about the fourth annual Tales for the Pet Lover’s Heart campaign. The campaign helps to support animal welfare organizations nationwide. Additionally they have a great sweepstakes component from the Kroger family of stores.
Now through November 2, 2011, for each pet tale shared online at www.TalesforthePetLoversHeart.comm, Purina and Kroger will make a $1 donation, up to $25,000, to animal welfare organizations nationwide.
You can also complete an online sweepstakes entry form found on the Tales for the Pet Lover’s Heart website for the chance to win a year’s worth of groceries from your local Kroger store, a year’s supply of Purina pet food AND a $50,000 donation will be made in the winner’s honor to a participating animal welfare organization.
For more information on the fourth annual campaign, visit their Facebook page (www.Facebook.com/TalesforthePetLoversHeart).
This sounds like an amazing campaign. Not only will a lot of money be donated to support animal welfare organizations but you could also win a year’s worth of groceries. Not only that the winner will also get a year’s supply of Purina pet food. With six pets of my own I can certainly see the value of this prize. Plus the added bonus of having $50,000 donated in your honor to a participating animal welfare organization.
The contest ends on November 2, 2011, so you still have time to enter.

i jist added a story abt rose, my 1st min. schnauzer that i had in college, who my parents took from me (i had to do internship and when i came home, they said were not giving my dog back). she was the love of my parents, their 1st grandchild and spoiled rotten. when my dad had open heart surgery at duke, he was not doing well, and rose tore up the chair they used to sit together in. she would not eat either. my mother asked the drs. if she could bring rose over to see my dad. they wheeled him out and as my mother drove into the parking lot, rose jumped out of the moving car, over 100 yrds away, ran and jumped into my dad’s lap and kissed and loved on him. to say the least, they both did better after that, although my dad died abt a year later. rose would look everywhere for him. go up and down the cars in front of the house looking for his car and wait at the door for him to come home from work. she tore up the chair again. she really grieved for my father. then rose had to be put to sleep a few yrs later. she had leukemia. my mother grieved and cried everyday for many years. my mother just passed away abt a year and half ago, i buried rose in her casket. so now rose is sleeping forever between her 2 beloved grandparents…
