Boo! Did I scare you? Well, maybe that’s because I’m not all geared up in my Halloween costume. One of the most entertaining American holidays is almost here, and you need to get ready for it. This is not the time to be an old fuddy-duddy, but to participate in the fun, find that perfect Halloween costume and get out of the house and have fun. But what kind of costume should you get?
Well, that depends on your imagination, your creativity and whether you want to make your own costume, buy one or just go out and rent one. Whatever you decide to do; you really need to put a little thought into it (after all it is Halloween). Look through some of the top costumes for 2012 to see if you get any ideas. Remember, its all about putting it together early in the game; this way, you won’t be at a loss as to what to wear to that fun party you are invited to.
1 – Spiderman
This guy is always great. The spidery feeling will come upon you once you get the red suit on. Spiderman suits are big this year, just as popular as they ever have been. The great thing is that there is a variety of different styles to choose from. Buy a pattern and have it sewn, choose a professional-looking suit from a costume rental shop or go out and buy an inexpensive version. Whichever you choose, you’ll be a smash at the party.
2 – Batman
With the release of the new Batman movie, this costume is all the rage this year. Spice it up with dramatic makeup and a few of the famous batman accessories and you are ready for whatever ghouls the night brings on.
3 – The Female Vampire
The release of the movie “Underworld Awakening” makes being a vampire ever popular, especially if you can look like Kate Beckinsale. Of course, girls, you’ll want to spice up that vampire outfil a little with a great latex suit.
4 – The Ice Age Characters
Kids loved the new Ice Age movie so squirrels, tigers, mammoths and more will run wild on the sidewalks. If your child wants to be one of these characters be sure to visit the costume store as quickly as possible. These are sure to go quick.
5 – The Avengers
Let’s not forget any of the avenger super heroes. Dress up as Captain America, the Hulk, Thor or the Black Widow. You’ll find lots of different Halloween costumes to choose from under this category.
6 – Snow White
Let’s not forget this doll. With the release of the modern version Snow White and the Huntsman, there are lots of different Snow White styles to choose from. Enjoy the traditional, or the more modern “Bad Girl” Snow White.
This year there are lots of interesting costumes out there. Play around with a few ideas until you come upon one you really like. Remember to shop early and look online, you may find the perfect costume at a wonderfully affordable price.
