Do you have a “green thumb?” I wish I did. Sadly, I kill plants. I think it’s even possible for me to kill artificial plants (ha ha).
I love plants. I truly do. But it’s true, I can’t really keep them alive. I don’t know why. I did have some outdoor plants/flowers last all summer long, but once the colder weather kicked in, the plants/flowers perished. Sadly, I had no place to bring them in for the winter.
I have a few artificial plants and flowers in our home. I tend to go for the most realistic ones I can find. I also have to keep my cats in mind. Many house plants are toxic to cats and dogs. With artificial plants there is no worries about them being a danger to my cats.
Little ones tend to love the look for flowers too. I remember when my kids were little. They loved flowers (even my son). I can still picture them collecting dandelions from the front of our building. They would pick them for me and want me to put them in a vase of water. As you know, dandelions die as soon as you pick them.
When we’d go to the state or county park, my kids would pick wildflowers for me. I love those. Wildflowers are so pretty.
Teaching children about plants and flowers is a fun way to celebrate Earth Day (April 22, 2023). Perhaps you can plants flowers together? Or maybe visit a botanical garden? You can also teach children how important plants and flowers are to other creatures that call our Earth home (bees, butterflies…).
I work with children. I was thinking about having them decorate flower pots and then have them plants some seeds inside (either that or create a home for bees). I might save the plant idea for Mother’s Day.

If your child or grandchild has ever shown interest in flowers and plants, let me tell you about the MOST DARLING plants you have ever seen. They are Plant Plush Dolls from the brand Bunnies by the Bay.
I have reviewed products from Bunnies by the Bay in the past. I am IN LOVE with this brand and their products. Not only do they have the cutest products, but their packaging is by far THE BEST packaging I have ever seen.
Here is some information about these adorable “plants.”
Plant Plush Dolls from Bunnies by the Bay ($24.95): If you want to teach your little ones about plants this Earth Day, but don’t want to deal with the mess or cleanup, these adorable Plant Plush Dolls are perfect for you. These plant plush dolls from Bunnies By the Bay are the ideal low-maintenance gift for your littlest plant lovers. No upkeep or sunlight is required! Add a little whimsy to any part of the home! Choose from snake plant, succulent, or monstera.
Bunnies by the Bay was kind enough to send me some of their “plants” to check out for myself.
OH
MY
GOODNESS!
These are THE CUTEST “plants” I have ever seen!
First let’s talk about the packaging. Bunnies by the Bay uses a decorated box that could be repurposed for other gifts. They think of everything, from the pretty ribbon, to the carrot themed tissue paper inside. They even include a carrot card that you can insert into the garden on the front of the box. For me, the box alone is a great gift. It gives me such joy just to look at it.
Inside the box I was greeted by three sweet smiles from some of Bunnies by the Bay’s plush plants.
Each precious little plant also have dangly arms and legs to help bring it to life.
The pots are made out of a plush material that reminds me of corduroy. They are ribbed like corduroy, but velvety soft.
Each plant has cute flowers growing on top. There are different plants to choose from, and what grows out of the pot is a representation of that plant.
- Tulips
- Snake Plant
- Monstera Plant
- Succulent
- Daisy
- Daffodil
- Crocus
Too cute!
I received the tulip, daisy and daffodil plush plants.
My pictures are not the best. They do NOT do these plants justice. You have to see and experience them in person to truly appreciate just how charming these plush plants are.
I can picture these little cuties perched on a window sill in a child’s bedroom. Imagine how cute these would be in a nursery!
I love that the little legs dangle over the edge of the bookcase (or window sill), as if they are truly sitting there.
I wish I had a window sill to display these on. Right now they are on my shelves, but once I put away the Easter decorations I plan on putting these on the bookcase and/or the television stand.
You can group a bunch of these plush plants together, or place them around the room or your home individually.
These are great for children because they can pretend to care for them without worrying about plants dying, or a child overwatering (or not watering enough) a plant. Let’s not forget dirt! You certainly don’t want the dirt from a potted plant all over your home. Something like that is better suited for outside play.
Another great thing is that these won’t break if they are dropped. Plush they are soft and plush and very huggable. Yes, you can actually hug a plant. LOL!
It would be cute to gift the daisy plush plant to a child named Daisy too!
Each plush plant is sold individually. It would be cute to gift a child a new plush plant for different special occasions (birthday, Christmas…). That way you can slowly build their collection until they own all of the plush plants.
TOO CUTE!
