There are so many reasons to give someone special a gift – anniversaries, birthdays, wedding, and other special celebrations. When you have children you’ll no doubt be invited to a lot of birthday parties. It’s always a great idea to have some gifts handy for last minute invites. As a mom I know from personal experience. It seemed like my kids were invited to a birthday party almost every other week. I learned from my mom to keep small gifts handy for such reasons. The adult necklace I received to review is pictured above (“You are cherished”).
The adult necklace measures 16″ in length. The brand sells extenders (separately) if you need to extend it to 18″. I need at least an 18″ to be comfortable (I prefer 20″ necklaces). I gave this necklace to my daughter (she’s 26 and really into gemstones). She loves it.
The cords for the children’s necklaces measure 14″ in length, which is a great size for children, but not so much for adults.
The necklaces for children are made with a strong and colorful cord. The color of the cord varies from the different stones. For example, “Love” has a bright pink cord, “Friendship” has a light blue cord, “Happiness” has a light pink cord and “Courage” has a very light pink cord.
The cords also have sterling silver clasps.
The necklaces are very dainty looking. They are not tacky or gaudy. They can easily be worn to school, church, special events and to the playground. I can’t see why a child couldn’t sleep or bathe in them either.
I did a tug test on the necklaces from Soulku and found that the cords are very strong. You would REALLY have to pull on it to break it, which is not something that would ever happen with normal wear.
The gemstones also vary in color, as gemstones normally due.
The card each necklace comes on features the meaning behind the necklace, the stone, a special “wish” and the handwritten name of the person who created the necklace. I think the handwritten name makes the necklace much more unique and personal.
On the back of each card you’ll find information on how a percentage of your purchase goes to the brand’s non-profit partners who support and empower women and children.
I think these necklaces are beautiful. Too bad they wouldn’t fit me (not even with an extender).
