Do you love to read? Do you know someone who is an avid reader?
I used to read a lot of books when I was younger. I’d read several books a month, if not more. Sadly, the older I got, the less time I had to read between raising a family, caring for my home, working outside the home and blogging. I still read whenever I can, but not as much as I’d like to.
I’m a fan of a lot of books and book series. Books and series such as Nancy Drew, Anne of Green Gables, Hardy Boys, and any book written by Jack London. One of my “Bucket List” things is to get a first edition copy of Call of the Wild. I look for that book every time I visit antique shops. Somewhere out there is a first edition copy of that book.
Another book series that I am fond of is Little House on the Prairie. I’m a big fan of the show and the books. I’ve read almost all of the books, and I have literally seen every episode of the series numerous times (it airs in syndicate all the time).
If you have someone in your life that is an avid book reader, I have the perfect gift for them. A flower from Literary Blooms.
Literary Blooms upcycles books and turns their pages into BEAUTIFUL paper flowers. I know that might now sound like much, but once you see one in person, life I have, you’ll fall in love with them.
Each Literary Blooms book paper flower is handmade and the perfect romantic and upcycled gift. The petals are cut, shaped and attached to stem individually. As in nature, no two flowers will ever be the same. Unlike nature, Literary Blooms flowers will last a lifetime.
I was sent one of the flowers to check out for myself. I received a flower made with pages from a Little House on the Prairie book! How awesome is that?
The flower arrives wrapped in tissue paper with a lovely little bow. It looks like a single flower you would gift to someone, except this flower is not real, and it will last forever (with care, of course).
When you look at the flower up close, you can read the words printed on the pages. Some pages (petals) even have images on them. The flower that I have has some colorful illustrations from the Little House on the Prairie books mixed in.
If you look towards the left side of the image you can read Little House in the Big Woods. That was the first book in the Little House on the Prairie book series.
In the center it appears to be an illustration of Laura Ingalls Wilder and another girl (Mary perhaps?).
I don’t know what they do to the pages, but they are firm and stiff (not too stiff), meaning they hold their shape very well. Even if you remove the flower from the wrapping and put it in a vase, the flower and petals stand up perfectly.
Currently my flower is sitting in a small vase. It’s not the vase I have in mind for it. I have to take a road trip to Walmart or check Amazon for a better vase.

Literary Blooms makes flower ornaments too!
The flowers are available in different sizes and range in prices from approximately $16.00 – $25.00.
You can also order the flowers in bouquet form, and they have mini-versions of their flowers.
These flowers would make for a great party favor for a wedding.
There are so many books to choose from include Sherlock Holmes, Edgar Allen Poe, Shakespeare, Dracula, Anne of Green Gables, and Twilight.
Literary Blooms also makes flowers from other upcycled items. They sell flowers made from books by Cher and Prince.
Literary Blooms also sells pre-made ornaments with their beautiful flowers inside.
If you are interested in learning more, please visit them at LiteraryBlooms.com. They can also be found on Facebook and Instagram. Those links are found on the bottom of their website.
I think these “forever flowers” would make a wonderful and unique gift for the book lover in your life. Best of all, they are affordable too.

So many beautiful gifts to choose from! I really like the flower ornament!
I do think books are wonderful gifts. I have not read as much as when I was younger either. My daughter reads all the time and she would love the Little House on the Prairie series.
I so love the rose that is so pretty and so clever. I would love to give one of these to my friend with a new book this year.
