I remember when my kids were little. We would stock up on baby wipes. Whenever they were on sale we’d stock up on them or we’d buy them in bulk from the warehouse store.
Even though my kids haven’t been in diapers in 12+ years, I still keep a container of baby wipes on hand. They can be used for plenty of things aside from keeping your baby’s bottom clean.
1. Make up remover – I make sure to wash my face every night before going to be, especially eye make up. Every now and then we might run out of clean wash clothes, or I run out of face cleaner. For those occasions I use a baby wipe to remove make up (including eye make up).
2. Use as a replacement Swiffer wet pad – I have not tried this yet but I heard you can use them with your Swiffer wet mop as a “pad” in case you run out. I’ll have to try that one next time. 🙂
3. Wash your hands when you don’t have water – Every now and then our water gets turned off in our condo building. If someone is having work done and they need to turn off the water the water gets turned off for ALL the units in our buildings, not just the unit getting the work done. When that happens I keep a box of baby wipes on the counter so we can “wash” our hands. They are also great to keep with you when you are on the go in case you find that you need to wash your hands and there is no soap and water available.
4. Wipe mud and dirt off shoes – If you like to keep your shoes clean wipe them down with a baby wipe. My son uses them all the time to keep his sneakers clean.
5. Quick wipe for surfaces – Just in case you need to wipe up a spill or sticky mess on the counter top and you don’t have any cleaner handy reach for a baby wipe.
6. Help remove stains from clothing – Baby wipes don’t necessarily remove all stains, but in the event you don’t have something handy (such as a stain stick) you can use a baby wipe to wipe off the spill before it sets in and get worse. Recently we were eating at a restaurant and I dropped ketchup on my shirt. I used one of the restaurant’s handy wipes (similar to a baby wipe) to wipe and plot off most of the stain. When I got home I used a stain stick for the rest of it. If I didn’t use the wipe it could have been worse.
7. Freshen/Clean your body – If you find yourself hot and sweaty and need a little freshening up you can wipe your body down with a baby wipe or two.
8. Quick clean up in your car – I use baby wipes to wipe the dust and dirt off my car’s dashboard and to wipe down the door handles and coffee/drink cup holders.
9. Wash off toys – When my kids were younger I would sometimes use baby wipes to clean off their toys. I figure if it’s OK for baby’s butts it should be OK for toys that babies play with.
10. Wipe off your pet’s dirty feet – If you have a dog and you don’t want him/her trekking mud and dirt into your home grab a baby wipe and wipe off their feet before they come inside.
Do you have any other uses for baby wipes? Feel free to comment and let me know.

Great uses for the wipes. We keep them in every car and several in the house.

Oh my gosh! I have never thought of using them to replace Swifter pads. What a neat idea in case of an emergency. I still keep them around the house even though my kids are a long ways from being babies.

Even though I don’t have babies, we continue to buy baby wipes and leave them in the car for quick clean-ups.

My kids are teenagers but I still buy baby wipes for cleaning. They are great because I don’t to use a wipe and a cleaning solution too.

Oh cool – I will have to keep in mind that baby wipes can be a replacement for a Swiffer. That’s interesting.
