I have a confession to make – I am OBSESSED with chocolate. Dark chocolate, milk chocolate, chocolate with peanut butter, chocolate mint… you name it, I love it. I’m not a big fan of white chocolate, but I’ll eat it. My favorite is dark chocolate.
I eat a piece of chocolate every day – literally. At least once a day I’ll treat myself to a piece or two of chocolate. Not only do I love the taste of chocolate, but I also consider it my “reward” for doing my best each and every day. I also allow myself the little sweet treat of chocolate so that I don’t over indulge on other goodies.
I would never turn down the opportunity to try a new chocolate. That is why I am THRILLED that I had the opportunity to try chocolate from the brand Goalz Chocolate.
Goalz Chocolate is a female owned company. Goalz Chocolate is low-carb, keto-friendly, 100% vegan, and sugar-free and it’s made fresh, daily. Sweetened with allulose which is found naturally in figs, Goalz won’t leave a weird aftertaste as some other sugar alternatives do. I was sent some Goalz Chocolate to review. I was not only excited to try out a new chocolate, but i was also curious about trying out a chocolate that was sugar-free with supposedly no weird after taste. I have tried many sugar free products over the years, and some of them have an awful aftertaste. I am not a fan of “fake” sugars.
Goalz Chocolates come in tubes, which I found interesting. Think of them like Pringles (and just like potato chips, it’s hard to eat just one, ha ha).
Each tube of Goalz Chocolates comes with twenty-seven (27) pieces of chocolate. A serving size is three (3) pieces. These are not tiny pieces of chocolate either. Each chocolate disc is about the size of a silver dollar (give or take). Perhaps that doesn’t sound big, but I personally find them the perfect size.
As I mentioned, I normally have a piece or two of chocolate very day. Sometimes that might be something as small as a couple of Kisses. I found just one (or two) of these discs were enough to satisfy my chocolate cravings. Yes, I said just ONE. And that’s a great thing.
I received the following flavors – Dark Chocolate Mediterranean Sea Salt, Dark Chocolate Organic Coconut and Dark Chocolate Roasted Hazelnut.
First let me give you the breakdown of the nutritional value of these chocolates.
I am impressed by the amount of iron in the chocolate. As someone who is iron deficient anemic, I find that especially interesting.
As a chocolate “snob” of sorts, I can say that these chocolates are absolutely A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! So much so that I have ALL of the available flavors in my shopping cart on the brand’s website because I want MORE of these chocolates. Currently the brand is having a “Buy 5 Get 1 Free” promotion, which is why I want to take advantage of it. I am thoroughly enjoying the flavors I was sent to review. I also want to check out the other flavors offered by the brand (Dark Chocolate Sicilian Pistachios, Dark Chocolate Roasted Almonds, 60% Dark Chocolate).
The chocolate is dark, rich and melts in your mouth. You can tell just from the first bite that this is high-quality, gourmet chocolate. It tastes like something you would find at an expensive boutique.
As I mentioned, even thought three discs is considered a serving size, I find that this chocolate is so rich and flavorful that even just one disc is more than enough to satisfy me. Coming from someone who is obsessed with chocolate, that says A LOT.
I literally cannot rave about this chocolate enough. You MUST give it a try for yourself to truly appreciate it.
As for it being sugar free, you would never know that. I did not notice any weird aftertaste in any of the flavors. If you didn’t tell me these were sugar free I would have never guessed it. They taste like they were made with sugar.
