Truffoire – Plastic Surgery in a bottle?

When it comes to my skincare, I have learned to take is more seriously over the years. In my youth (as if I’m “ancient” now), I did NOT take care of my skin – at all. I’d go to bed without washing make-up off, I never used beauty products such as moisturizer, and I never wore sunscreen. I absolutely regret not taking better care of my skin. I feel like now I’m paying the price for it with baggy skin, wrinkles and a dull complexion.

I work with young girls (one is 18, the other is 23). I tell them all the time to take care of their skin NOW before the damage is done and irreversible, unless they want to shell out a fortune for plastic surgery years down the road. That is not something I plan on exploring, but you never know.

One of the benefits of doing reviews is being introduced to products and brands I might not otherwise get to know about. Often some of the products sent to me to review become my absolute favorites, and I end up becoming a customer of the brand.

A few weeks ago I was introduced to a luxury brand called Truffoire. Here is a little more information about the brand.

Truffoire utilizes this amazing ingredient in a variety of beauty products as a White Truffle Day Moisturizer, White Truffle Night Cream, and White Truffle Eye Serum, to name a few. They also have products make with black truffles, such as Black Truffle Vitamin C Cleaner, Black Truffle Illuminating Facial & Eye Mask and Black Truffle Deep Renewal Vitamin C.

I was sent to review the following products.

White Truffle Face Peeling

To be honest, I’m not a big fan of facial peels. I find them to be a wee bit too abrasive.

The first time I used this product I used it like other facial peels I’ve tried in the past (I didn’t read the instructions on how to REALLY use it). I used it the wrong way and my face felt like it was on fire afterwards. I attributed it to the product, and not me (my husband refers to it as “user error” at work). It was MY fault my skin felt that way because I didn’t use the product correctly.

This product goes on dry skin (I wet my skin first). You also don’t need a lot (I used too much). I also used warm water, when I should have used cool water.

Because of my initial experience with the product, I didn’t use it for a few weeks. Then I thought I should at least give it another chance, because I love the other products I received to review, so surely this product was something I would love too.

After I learned how to properly use the product, my experience has been much better. I use it every 3 days (it says twice a week, but I just go every three days). Things have been much better. My skin feels very clean after I use it.

I don’t like to keep make-up on when I get home from work. The first thing I do is wash my face to get the make-up and dirt from the day off. I feel like this product goes one step further than a normal face washing. It feels like it gives you a deep clean. THIS IS NOT A CLEANSER! What I mean is that I feel like it helps to slough off stuff my regulars face wash doesn’t get, as well as dry, dull skin.

White Truffle Night Cream

This is a really nice night cream. It’s really thick, rich and creamy. You don’t need much to cover your whole face and neck.

I find that this leaves my face feeling soft. It absorbs quickly and doesn’t leave my face feeling sticky or greasy. My face feels really nice to the touch, and moisturized.

To date, I have not noticed any difference in my “expression” lines. As for some of my not-so-deep wrinkles, I THINK I might see a wee bit of a difference on my forehead and on the sides of my eyes. It’s also only been a few weeks, and sometimes it takes months of continued use of a product to notice the maximum benefits.

As a night cream, this an outstanding option.

Black Truffle Deep Renewal Vitamin C

As I mentioned earlier in this post, I have reviewed products that I loved and now I’m a customer of the brand. OH MY GOODNESS!!!! Truffoire, take my paychecks! I NEED to keep this product in my life. LOL!

This product has a very hefty price tag (sadly!). Knowing that, I was expecting “miracles” from this product. I jest when I say that because I have tired products that claim they’ll do this and that for you, and fail to impress me – especially pricey, luxury brand products. NOT THIS PRODUCT!

Truffoire Black Truffle Deep Renewal Vitamin C = LIQUID GOLD!

Never, and I do mean NEVER, have I ever been so enamored with a beauty product in all my life. Sure, I have products I love, but NOTHING comes close to this product.

WOW! WOW! WOW!

You only need a little bit of this product. I glides on your skin like it’s liquid silk. My skin feels A-M-A-Z-J-N-G when I use this product. I have used it every night since I received it to review. Dare I say I look forward to it? I simply LOVE how it feels.

When I wash my face, sometimes it feels dry and tight. Using this serum over a clean face is a game changer. Instantly my skin feels refreshed, soft and it looks radiant too!

I cannot rave about this product enough. Even ask my co-workers. I have talked about this product several times to them. I even hide it at home so my daughter doesn’t try it. It’s not that I don’t want her to experience it for herself, but I’m afraid she’ll use it too much and they’ll be no more left for me. As it is, I’m going to be devastated when I run out of it. It’s not something I can afford to purchase. Thank goodness a little goes a long way. I’m hoping to get a few more weeks out of it.
