Happy New Year! I hope that everyone had a wonderful holiday season. Was it a crazy one? Between holiday shopping, wrapping, parties, decorating… the holidays can be very stressful. Even worse, the holiday bills when they start rolling in over the next few weeks.
Now that it’s all over, and it’s back to the every day grind, it is the perfect time to relax and unwind.
How do you relax and unwind after a stressful day? For me I drink some coffee or tea and watch a good movie. If I am driving I’ll crank up my favorite tunes and sign along to them at the top of my lungs. Some people might prefer more relaxing music.
Everyone has their own way of relaxing.
The brand Unbound Glo has a fun and unique way to help customers relax and unwind with a lovely combination of beautiful candles and great music.
Originally conceived as an experimental escape from the stresses of daily life and a demanding job, the founder’s candle-making hobby quickly evolved into a source of inspiration to develop into a business. Inspired to create good smells and boost moods through the power of scent, her initial experiment has blossomed into a fun-loving collection with lovely offerings that are an artistic expression as much as an aromatic outlet for relaxation.
Unbound Glo’s candles cater to the fragrance sensitivities of families and embody the significance of embracing a slower pace in a rapidly advancing world. The ultimate goal is to cultivate a delightful and self-loving atmosphere through the serenity of lighting a candle.
“Our goal is to create a community of self-love, self-expression, individuality, building confidence, and having fun while doing it!”
Bringing smiles to people’s faces is easy with these cruelty-free, eco-friendly scents, great for those with fragrance sensitivities. Paired with music (a QR code links to a Spotify-curated playlist), create an ambiance to amplify your senses with these hand-poured candles.
I received a couple of Unbound Glo candles to check out for myself. I received to review Cherry Avenue and Cosmic Stars.
Each candle game wrapped in a cute little drawstring bag, which I plan on repurposing.
Cherry Avenue had the QR Code on the candle lid. The Cosmic Stars candle had the QR Code on the side of the candle.
Let me start with the scents. I am over-the-moon in love with Cherry Avenue. It has bright notes of black cherry, creamy strawberry vanilla whip, eloped with fresh zest. You can really smell the cherry. It smells SO GOOD. I find myself sniffing the candle even when it’s not lit. It’s so beautifully scented without being overly sweet smelling.
This candle definetly makes me think of spring and summer. Seeing as how winter just started, and spring is 70+ days away, I can appreciate the fun scent. It makes me think of spring and not dreading the cold, drab and dreary days ahead.
Cosmic stars has notes of bright lemons, berries, sweet sugar spun, and warm amber. This candle reminds me of something, but I have to put my finger on it. I smell the amber and berries the most. My husband happens to like this candle the best out of the two. I don’t think it’s a “manly” scent at all. If anything it’s a very unisex scent.
Each candle has a wood wick, which I love. Wood wicks make a crackling sound when they burn, which reminds me of a fireplace.
The QR Codes on each candle opens up to a playlist on Spotify featuring curated songs to go along perfectly while burning the candle. There are not just a few songs on each playlist. Each one had many songs on it. Some artists I have never heard of before, and others are more popular bands and singers. Each had a great assortment of music. It was fun to discover new songs and artists and hear some favorites too.
As you can see, one playlist is an hour and twenty minutes long, and the other playlist is over two hours long.
I think combining a beautiful candle with an entertaining playlist is such a cool idea. Never in a million years would I have thought to combine the two.
The candles sell for under $25, which makes them an ideal gift for a friend, co-worker, or relative. Anyone who loves candles and music are sure to love Unbound Glo candles.
