I have reviewed a lot of wonderful sets from PLAYMOBIL over the years. My “work kids” are very grateful for that because after my review I donate the toys to my work site. I even purchased on my own PLAYMOBIL houses for the kids to use with the various sets.
They always get excited when they find new pieces in the toy box. I have two boxes dedicated to only PLAYMOBIL toys (one for furniture/accessories, one for people/pets).
I recently received to review a really cute set that is perfect for Valentine’s Day. It’s the PLAYMOBIL Monster High Valentine’s Day Set.
Monster High is a popular brand that my “work kids” know a lot about. I honestly have never seen their shows before, only merchandise. There are web series and specials based on Monster High.
According to Wikipedia;
In the fictional American town of New Salem, the teenage children of famous monsters (and other mythical creatures) attend a high school called Monster High. The school is renowned for allowing all species of monsters to enroll in it: this is in contrast with other schools that exist in the franchise’s fantasy world, which are reserved for one type of monster only (for example, a vampire-exclusive school). The characters’ stories were told through the TV series, web series, films, the official website, as well as through diaries (booklets) included with the dolls. Since the franchise’s beginnings in the late 2000s and early 2010s, Monster High has valued diversity among its characters and their visual appearance, personalities, abilities, and cultural backgrounds.
In the PLAYMOBIL Monster High Valentine’s Day Set you receive plenty of fun accessories and figures to create a beautiful Valentine’s Day evening for the characters Draculuara and Clawd.
This set includes a base with a vintage street light and heart-shaped vines. There are floating balloons and leaves you can also attach to the base.
You can have the characters take “photo ops” around the heart-shaped vines. You can also have them sit on the included bench near the vines and under the streetlight. In addition, the characters can hold the balloons (they really do “float”).
Other accessories that came with this set include a flying bat, gift box, umbrella and other pieces (jewelry, pens, book…). I love the little bat. PLAYMOBIL put so much detail into something so small. The little bat has hearts on it’s chest and a cute pink bow on it’s head. I also like the little candle and pencils. The detail is amazing.
One of the cutes accessories is a heart-shaped piece the characters can hold on to so that it looks like they are holding hands with the heart. Adorable!
My picture (above) is a little off. I was hoping to get the bat to show up perfectly in the middle of the characters.
Even their outfits have such incredible detail from gold buttons to pockets on the jeans. The characters even wear jewelry. PLAYMOBIL’s attention to details is incredible.
Even if your child is not into Monster High, this is still a very cute set.
As with all PLAYMOBIL products they pieces from sets can mix and match with other PLAYMOBIL sets.
