I love animals. I am a HUGE animal lover. I love just about any animal/critter out there. I don’t think any animal is truly “ugly.” And I don’t find animals scary either.
Growing up, I amassed a huge collection of plush, stuffed animals. Since I couldn’t really have a pet tiger or elephant, own a stuffed animal was the next best thing.
When we travelled, I would bring a bunch of my stuffed animals too so I had something to play with, and I had something I could cuddle with at night too.
I’m a sucker for a cute plush animal, but I also really appreciate realistic looking ones too.
One of my all time favorite brands of realistic looking plush animals is Wild Republic. OH MY GOODNESS! Their plush animals look like the real thing! Here are just a few examples.
They are so cute!
Wild Republic is constantly adding to their product line. Some of their new products include the Screen Grabbers, Pillowkins and Comfortkins (which were made in honor of 2020).
Wild Republic sent me a few of the new products to check out for myself.
I should note that I have purchased Wild Republic products on my own (non-review/blog related). I honestly am a big time fan of the brand.
Screen Grabbers are super cute small plush toys that “grab” on to your computer screen or similar items.
With so many kids doing remote learning this school year, having a friendly little face greet you every morning when you log on to your classes is so sweet.
Screen Grabbers have curbed front paws, allowing them to “grab” on to a computer screen. They do better if you have a desktop, but they work on laptops too. The only thing is that they are not permanently attached, so every time you close your laptop lid/top, you have to remove the little critter.
I have a laptop, and I use my Screen Grabber every time I’m on my computer. I have an adorable little Red Panda Screen Grabber. I don’t care that I’m an “adult,” I still enjoy cute things and I enjoy seeing it’s happy little face looking back at me when I’m online.
Another new product line from Wild Republic are their Pillowkins. Pillowkins are pillow shaped (rectangular) plush animals that your child can use to snuggle with, or use as a pillow.
I received the Pillowkins Lion. He is wearing a blue shirt and yellow bottoms.
The Pillowkins are made for children, so they are not a standard size pillow. They measure approx. 15″ x 9″ in size. They are made for children to sleep with and tote around with them.
I think the Pillowkins are darling. I do like the lion, but I find his mane pieces a bit rough. I would have liked them to be a bit softer, but that’s just me.
Wild Republic’s next new product line are Comfortkins, which were made in honor of 2020. They are sweet little plush critters that are wearing masks.
I think that a mask wearing plush friend helps children to understand the importance of wearing their masks. In a way, I think these critters do offer some kind of comfort for little kids. It lets them know it’s OK to wear a mask, and that there is nothing scary about it, and they have nothing to worry about.
I received the Sloth Comfortkins. She’s wearing a pink hoodie and matching mask.
She’s really cute. I actually keep her on my desk next to the “hook” I hold my extra masks on. It’s like she’s the “keeper of my masks,” so to speak. Ha Ha.
The Comfortkins are small in size. A child could carry it around with them, or tuck it in their backpack or tote bag to provide them with comfort and a friend whenever they are scared, especially about all the stuff they hear that is going on in this world right now (COVID).
These are just some of the ever growing list of Wild Republic products. They would made great gifts this holiday season, and beyond.
Wild Republic toys are available on their website, as well as other retail locations. They also carry an array of child-friendly masks.
