When it comes to hand creams and lotions I think I have pretty much tried them all. Some might think I have an “addiction” to skin creams because I have so many of them. I have them in the bathroom, on my desk, in my car, in my husband’s car, in my purse and in the kitchen. To be honest I cannot stand having dry skin, especially on my hands.

Many years ago I suffered from really bad Eczema on my right hand. WHY it was only on my right hand and not both hands I’ll never know. This lasted for about 3-4 years. Even when the Eczema wasn’t acting up the littlest fissure in my skin would cause the Eczema to come back with a vengeance. I would literally slather any kind of lotion or cream I could find to keep my skin from cracking. This was made especially difficult during the Winter months when my skin would dry out all over.

Thankfully I haven’t had an Eczema outbreak in about a year. These days it appears on my eye lids, face, shoulders and scalp. At least my hands have been spared.

I keep applying lotions and creams to my hands all day long, partially because I fear the Eczema but also because I don’t like how my skin feels when its dry. I apply lotions and creams every time I wash my hands or if a few hours have passed and my skin feels dry again.

Carmex recently came out with a line of healing skin products that I was excited to try. I have always known Carmex as a company that makes lip balms, which I have used on many occasions. In fact its the only brand I recall from when I was a child and teen. I remember stuffing the little rocket shaped tube into my backpack. I also remember using the Carmex in a jar in the past too. To me Carmex represents healing lip balms. Since I was familiar with their products and know how well they work I was excited to try out the new skin products.

Carmex sent me their new Healing Lotion and Healing Creme, as well as many other fantastic Carmex lip products. It was like Christmas when I opened up the package! Even my family was thrilled because they were all in need of lip balms too, especially now that the cold weather is here. I hate chapped lips just as much as I do chapped skin.

I was excited to try the skin care products. I have been using them for a few weeks now and I am very pleased. I have been using the Healing Lotion throughout the day and the Healing Cream at night before I go to bed.

I really like both products but I think my favorite is the Healing Cream. Its thicker and concentrated so a little squirt goes a long way. I have also used it on my elbows.

Both products are pretty much scent free. I’m always stuffy but I really don’t smell anything. I do enjoy scents but I would rather stick to candles and room sprays and not personal care products.

Both the cream and the lotion absorbs pretty quickly. The lotion absorbs a bit quicker then the cream but that is because the cream is thick. The cream does leave a bit of a residue on your skin but nothing gross or greasy. After a few minutes its gone.

I’m giving the new Carmex two well moisturized thumbs up for the new Healing Cream and Healing Lotion.

I am also THRILLED with all the lip care products we received. Just how I have an “addiction” to hand lotions and creams my husband is addicted to lip balms and applies it all day long. He was like a kid in a candy store when he saw all the wonderful Carmex lips care products.

Just like it is with the lotions and creams I make sure to have the Carmex lip balms handy in my purse, glove compartment and at my desk. I like that they don’t feel waxy or greasy on my lips. They provide me with soft, soothing relief from dry, chapped lips. With regular use your lips will be smooth, soft and well protected from the Winter and cold weather elements. I’m sure you want to keep your smile as nice as possible with well moisturized lips. Not to mention kissing is so much nicer with soft lips then dry, peeling lips. Eww! Gross!  

This Winter I’ll be more then ready for the dry skin and chapped lips thanks to Carmex.

  95. I love Carmex – it’s one of the few products that really works when I’m suffering dry, chapped lips! I usually use the Carmex original stick but would love to try the Carmex Cherry Stick!
