Now that the holidays are here I’m sure many people are looking to stock up on sweet treats to have on hand for holiday guests, both expected and unexpected.

When I was a young girl my great-grandparents used to keep dishes of candy and nuts out on the table all the time during the holidays. They even had a bowl of nuts that you need the nutcracker to break open. As an adult I see that it was a lot of work for a single nut, but as a kid it was the coolest thing ever to use the nutcracker.

If it wasn’t for our cats and our dog I would leave nuts and candy out on our coffee table during the holidays too. Its always nice to have a little sweet or salty treat to pop in your mouth on a whim.

Oh Nuts! (love the name!) offers a nice selection of nuts, seeds, candy, chocolates and gift options. They even have the roasted chestnuts that I enjoyed as a kid but already removed from their shells. Yummy!

A gift basket of nuts and candies also make a great gift. I was actually eyeing their gift sets because I am looking for a gift for our mechanic. I thought a food gift would be nice because he could keep it at the shop and snack on it when he wanted a treat. My original thought was cookies but I worried that they might get stale.

I like the Christmas Lucite Gift Tray. It comes with nuts, chocolated, dried fruits and cordials so there is a little something for everyone.

I also like the Chocolate Wicker Basket. Yum! Just look at all that chocolate.

My father loves Macadamia nuts. He always picks up the nuts when he goes to Hawaii. Oh Nuts! actually offers Macadamia nuts in bulk. I think my father would love a pound or two of his favorite nuts as a holiday gift.

My grandfather loves peanut brittle but I could do one step better and pick him up some delicious looking Almond Brittle. Mmmm! I think I need to get some more myself too!

Oh Nuts! carries products in bulk that are not always readily available like Pine nuts, Soybeans, Watermelon seeds and Quinoa. This would be a great resource for all your holiday baking needs.

  330. I like that a lot of Oh Nuts’ chocolate is pareve (non-dairy) so that those who observe the kosher dietary laws (i.e. separating meat and dairy) can eat it after a meat meal.
