When I was a young girl (teen, young adult…), I would not leave my home unless my hair was perfectly coiffed. I would literally spend an hour blow drying, curling and styling my hair.
These days my hairstyle of choice is a ponytail. Even if I don’t start off my day that way, by the end of the day my hair is almost always in a ponytail.
I do not have time in the morning to do my hair. There are four people trying to get ready for work and school at the same time and we only have the one bathroom. I don’t have time to do up my hair in the morning (during the work week).
If I take a shower and wash my hair at night it’s pointless to do my hair because I’m only going to go to bed and wake up with “bed head” hair.
When I make a ponytail I prefer the comfort of a scrunchie. Yes… I still use scrunchies. I have a collection of them in about every color. The only problem is that they don’t hold my hair snug enough and they tend to slide out of my hair.
I have to use traditional hair rubber bands to make ponytails. They hold well, but I hate how they pull my hair. They are uncomfortable. Sometimes I think they give me headaches.
I like hair clips, but they won’t stay in my hair.
I even have a banana clip from the 80’s that I still use from time to time. How many people remember those?
I was recently introduced to a hair product that has been used globally and only recently made it’s way to the United States. It’s call invisibobble (with a lower case “i”). According to the brand, invisibobble is small in size but big in style.
When you first look at an invisibobble they don’t look like much. They are tiny circles that look like coiled telephone cords from years ago.
The invisibobble is made from polyurethane, better known as artificial resin. It’s also anti-bacterial, hypoallergenic and non-absorbent.
Invisibobble works the same as a hair rubber band with the exception that it doesn’t pull or tug your hair, which are the very same reasons why I dislike using rubber bands.
Wrapped around any hair type, the invisibobble distributes pressure onto several concentrated points around the ponytail, allowing for hair to be held strongly without being too tight or too loose. The effect of specific pressure distribution gives individual hairs more space within the ponytail which leads to a traceless result – meaning it won’t leave kinks or crease your hair.
You can wear invisibobbles like a bracelet, so you can have something with you at all times should you need to pull your hair up. They are much nicer to look at that a regular rubber band around your wrist, or even a scrunchie which are thick and “puffy.”
I sometimes find the need to pull my hair up at work (especially when it’s hot). I also like to pull my hair up when I eat so that my hair doesn’t flop into my face or get in my food. With a fashionable invisibobble on my wrist I have a way to pull up my hair at anytime, anywhere.
Invisibobble is available in a wide variety of colors to match your wardrobe, including one that is crystal clear. They come in package of three (three of a single color).
If you are interested in learning more about invisibobble visit their official website at www.invisibobble.com. On their website you can also check out different hairstyles you can make using invisibobbles.
The brand is also on social media. All of the links are found at the bottom of their website.
What do you think about invisibobble? Does it look like a product you would enjoy?

Wow I still use scrunchies as well. I both have long hair that I have to put back as well as take care of others that have long hair. This would work perfectly with both
