Animal Planet Talking Easter Candy Giveaway

Even though my kids no longer believe in the Easter Bunny (sigh…) I still vividly remember going shopping for goodies to put inside their Easter baskets. I wasn’t really concerned about candy that much. Grandpa and Grandma made sure to spoil them with more candy then they would ever need. Instead of candy I would focus on other goodies to put in their baskets. I DID buy them candy too, just not that much.

I used to love finding little toys and knick knacks for the Easter baskets. Each year there was always a few extra special items that I really wanted to give to my children. I especially liked products or toys that could be reused year after year, or enjoyed long after the holiday was over.

This year Animal Planet introduces a line of Talking Easter Chatter Boxes. I think they are adorable. They are large plastic egg shaped boxes that house a package of Easter candies inside. That might not seem so unique but they do talk. OK, so they won’t have a conversation with you (ha ha) but they do wish you a Happy Easter.

We have the baby duck Animal Planet Talking Easter Chatter Box. The outside of the yellow egg shaped box features an image of an adorable duckling. Inside we could colorful Easter candies. To the side of the box is a button you can push. One pressed the box starts to make quacking noises then you hear a child-like voice say “Happy Easter!”. Too cute!

What I love about these Easter treats is that you could easily reuse them year after year. The boxes can be refilled with other candies such as Jelly Beans or Hershey’s Kisses. Your child could also hold on to them after Easter to store their valuable trinkets in.

Kids will love to hear the animals noises that the boxes make. Our box is in the kitchen and everyone, including my husband, has to press the button whenever we are in there. All weekend long all I heard was “Quack, quack…Happy Easter!”. LOL!

These adorable Easter goodies are available in a variety of animal designs and can be purchased at Toys R Us stores (not online) and other grocery/specialty chain for a suggested retail price of $2.99-$3.29.

A portion of the proceeds from the sale of each chatter-box is donated to Animal Planet’s national campaign, R.O.A.R. Together with leading animal organization, R.O.A.R. helps to lead the the way in taking action and being the voice for animals.

  64. I like so many animals! Hmmm….my favorite would have to be puppies. They are just so little, cute, furry and chubby that I just want to snuggle them all day! And they are so adorable when they try to navigate the new world that they make me laugh (which always puts me in a good mood). Once they get older they lose some of that cuteness :).
