I am a BIG “worry wart” (as my mom would say). I worry about a lot of things. I worry about not being able to sell our condo. I worry about our kids starting a new school. I worry about the health of our cat who seems to be having issues. I worry about something going wrong with my car and I worry about things like identity theft. I’m the queen of worrying. 🙂
I know that it’s very easy for someone to steal another person’s identity. It’s very scary when you think about it. I never realized just how easy it is until earlier this year when I discovered that another person lives not too far from me and has the same name as me. It got me thinking about our mail. I wonder if my mail ends up at her house? What if one of those numerous credit card applications that fill up the mailbox gets sent to her? What if she opens up an account by pretending to be ME, and then runs up a huge charge and I’m stuck paying the bill? It makes me sick to my stomach just thinking about it.
Have you been a victim of ID theft? Has anyone in your family had to deal with having their identity stolen? Did you know that crooks even steal the identities of CHILDREN?
I’m very excited to announce that I’m a new brand ambassador for LifeLock. LifeLock is a monitoring service that keeps an eye out for potential threats to your identity or accounts.
