Can you believe that one week from tonight is Halloween? By now my family would be home from Trick or Treating and the kids would be getting ready for bed, making sure to brush all that candy from their teeth.
Have you stocked up on Halloween candy yet? I don’t know if that is a good thing or a bad thing? Its great to have the candy on hand and ready to give out to all the little ghosts and gobblins who come knocking at your door. Its much better then having to race around town the day before Halloween looking for candy and having to settle on what ever is left. On the other hand having all this delicious candy around your home, tempting you 24/7, is not a good thing either. My personal weakness is Reece’s Peanut Butter Cups, Peppermint Patty and Dark Chocolate Hershey Miniatures.
The most popular Hershey’s candies given to trick-or-treaters are Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups (43%), Kit Kat Wafer Bars (40%), Hershey’s Milk Chocolate Bars (37%) and Hershey’s Kisses Chocolates (27%).
During the Halloween time of year, Hershey adds a costume-like twist to these classic favorites with Reese’s Peanut Butter Pumpkins, Halloween Kit Kat Orange Snack Size Bars, HersheysMiniatures (Hershey’s Krackel Bar, Hershey’s Special Dark Dark Chocolate, Hershey’s Mr. Goodbar Candy Bar and Hershey’s Milk Chocolate) wrapped in orange, black, purple and lime-green foils and Hershey’s Kisses Chocolates wrapped in orange, black and silver foils.
Have you tried the orange Kit Kats yet? They really are orange! My kids LOVE these. They are made from white chocolate instead of their usual milk chocolate. The white chocolate is colored orange in celebration of Halloween.
My kids couldn’t wait to try them. They loved them so much that they wanted to bring some to school to share with their friends. If I didn’t hide the bag they would have been all gone before Halloween came around.
This year Hershey’s is offering some new Halloween assortments including a new Twizzlers assortment pack, Hershey’s Cookies N’ Cream Jumbo bag snacks size treats, Hershey’s 100 snack pack size Chocolate assortment and Hershey’s 100 snack size Candy assortment. Returning favorites include the Reece’s Peanut Butter Pumpkins, Hershey Kisses Candy Corn flavored candy and York Peppermint “Batty”.
This year we’ll be giving out plenty of Hershey’s brand chocolates, including what is left of the orange Kit Kats.
Do you know how TEMPTING it is to nosh on some of these candies? Thankfully I have showed great will power, except for a Reese’s Peanut Buttercup and a York Peppermint Patty.
Hershey’s has a special website set up to not only provide you with more information about their tasty treats but also to share great recipe ideas, crafts and even easy to make Halloween costumes.
The site is called Celebrate with Hershey’s and can be found here, http://www.hersheys.com/celebrate/halloween.
I especially like the “Dice” costume and the really cool looking Mummy treats.
You might want to bookmark the Celebrate with Hershey’s website. I believe that is the same website they use for crafts, recipes and other holiday related things throughout the year. With Christmas coming I’m sure they will have some fun crafts and tasty recipes available as well.
Fore more information about Hershey’s and their product lines please visit www.Hersheys.com. Be forewarned…you’ll see a lot of “drool worthy” images. Its best to view the website on a full tummy. Ha Ha.
