Do you have plans for Valentine’s Day? I’m glad that this year Valentine’s Day falls on a Friday so that my husband and I can go out for the evening and not have to worry about coming home early because he has to get up for work the next day.
We are not 100% sure what we are doing yet (a movie or the comedy club). I do know that dinner is one of the things we will be doing – this time without our kids. Our kids are not too happy about that but they need to understand it’s Valentine’s Day and mom and dad don’t get to go on “dates” often. They are old enough to fend for themselves for the night. After all, they are almost 17 and 14 1/2 – I’m pretty sure they can make their own dinner. 🙂
We are thinking about heading off to Outback Steakhouse for Valentine’s Day dinner. They have a special Steak Menu for Two that I know my husband would be thrilled about.
The Outback Steak Menu for Two includes their Bloomin’ Onion (we LOVE the Bloomin’ Onion!) and a classic Cheesecake dessert for you to share. Plus you can choose two of Outback’s favorite steak entrées;
- Two 6 ounce sirloins
- Two 9 ounce sirloins
- Two 6 ounce filets
- One Bone-in Ribeye & One Filet
You can even upgrade the Steak Dinner for Two by adding a lobster tail to any of the above mentioned entrées.
I’m thinking either the 6 ounce sirloins or 6 ounce filets would be perfect for us.
Another options Outback Steakhouse has for Valentine’s Day (which I think my husband would probably want to take advantage of) is the Outback Steak Plates. You can get either a 6 or 9 ounce Signature Sirloin topped with your favorite topping (chose from one of five different toppings) along with Aussie Fries. My husband loves their Fries, so I am thinking he would want to take advantage of this menu option. Plus they start under $10 each making them budget friendly meal options.

Outback Steakhouse is also having a contest this week where you could win a $50 Outback Steakhouse gift card. The contest is called the Outback Date Do-Over. It’s their way of helping people fix a date disaster (Valentine’s Day or any other date). I’m glad I don’t have to date anymore (I’ve been married 17+ years). I’ve had one too many date disasters that I just assume forget about. Let’s face it, not all dates are perfect.
Beginning today (February 10, 2014) until Friday (February 14, 2014 – Valentine’s Day) share your date disaster story with Outback Steakhouse VIA TWITTER using the hashtag #BloominDoOver for your chance to be entered in the contest. Each day ten lucky winner’s will be chosen and on Valentine’s Day 20 winners will be selected.
Outback Steakhouse’s Twitter handle is @Outback. You can also check them out on Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest.
