I know that Halloween seems like it’s so far away, but trust me, time flies quickly. Too quickly if you ask me. Next week is the 4th of July and I’ve already received a Back-to-School pitch. Personally I am already thinking about Thanksgiving and Christmas, hoping and praying we can sell our condo and buy a house before the end of the year so I can have people over to celebrate those holidays with us. 🙂
On October 4, 2012 a new Disney film comes to theaters. The movie is called Frankenweenie. It’s directed by Tim Burton who also directed movies like Alice in Wonderland (Johnny Depp version), A Nightmare Before Christmas and Beatlejuice, so you know it’s going to be a very odd – yet fun and entertaining – film.
Tim Burton actually wrote and directed a film by the same name back in the 80’s. Sadly the movie was never seen in theaters in the US (only in the UK). It was released on video about a decade later. The original Frankenweenie featured actual people. This version is completely animated.
Check out this new trailer for Frankenweenie. If you are reading this post via e-mail you can find the trailer here, .
It looks weird but I think it’s going to be a lot of fun. This is actually the first black and white animated film that is done in 3D. I can’t wait to see what a black and white film looks like in 3D.
I shouldn’t even called this an animated film. It’s technically a stop-motion animated film.
The movie features the voice talents of Catherine O’Hara, Martin Short, Martin Landau, Charlie Tahan, Atticus Shaffer, Robert Capron, Conchata Ferrell and Winona Ryder.
You can follow the movie on Facebook, www.Facebook.com/FrankenweenieMovie.
What do you think about the film? Does it look like something you would go and see in theaters? Why or why not?
