Coming to Blu-ray, DVD, and 4K Ultra HD on July 26, 2022, is the latest Doctor Strange film in the Marvel Universe, Doctor Strange: In the Multiverse of Madness. The film is already available on digital.
The film stars Benedict Cumberbatch (Doctor Strange), Elizabeth Olsen (Wanda Maximoff/The Scarlet Witch), Chiwetel Ejiofor (Baron Mordo), Benedict Wong (Wong), Xochitl Gomez (America Chavez), and Rachel McAdams (Christine Palmer).
Normally I do my own synopsis of films, but this film is packed with A LOT and I’m afraid I’ll either sound a bit confusing, or I’ll give away some spoilers – neither of which I want to do. For these reasons, I’ll just share the film’s official synopsis.
Journey into the unknown in Marvel Studios’ Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. When the MCU unlocks the Multiverse, Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) must enlist help from old and new allies as he traverses mind-bending and dangerous alternate realities in order to confront a surprising adversary.
I’ll admit, I haven’t seen ALL of the Marvel movies, which is why I think I got a bit confused at certain parts. I’m not saying you MUST see all the movies to enjoy this film. My husband has never (literally) seen a Marvel movie, yet he was entertained by this film. Knowing the characters and backstories does help, but you can still fully enjoy this movie, even if it’s the first Marvel movie you have ever seen.

Marvel NEVER disappoints when it comes to special effects. This film is no exception. WOW! My mind was blown by how crazy the effects are in this film. I know that people use the term “epic” a lot, but this film’s special effects are undeniably EPIC.
I would have to say, when it comes to the cinematography and special effects, Doctor Strange: In the Multiverse of Madness is probably one of the most visually stunning, and most captivating out of all the Marvel movies I have seen to date. Maybe not my most favorite storyline, but as the special effects and cinematography go.
I am sorry that I missed out seeing this film in the movie theater. I bet it would have been even more awesome being fully immersed in the film by watching it on a big screen.
This film is a bit dark too, so you might want to keep that in mind when viewing it with young children. Some of the monsters and scenes might be a little too intense of young ones.
I cannot imagine any other actor being Doctor Strange than Benedict Cumberbatch. There is just something about him. He’s handsome, funny, serious, and ideal for this role. Watching the film I thought to myself about other actors playing this role, and no one I thought of could come close to bringing Doctor Strange to life.
The acting by all the actors and actresses in this film is superb. I’m not often that you have a “killer cast,” where every actor/actress brought their “A game” to making this film.

To be honest, I think this film is far better than the original Doctor Strange movie.
The Blu-ray/DVD comes with plenty of bonus content.
