What are WE, and I do mean WE because we are all guilty of it, doing to OUR planet? We’re turning it into a massive junkyard. It’s not only ugly to look at, but also very concerning.
There are so many single use products being used each and every day by billions of people around the world. There are some products that can be recycled (thankfully), but sadly, many cannot.
I will not sit here and say that me and my family are 100% conscientious of our environment. We do use single use products, but often it’s because we cannot find an alternative.
We do recycle and we do try and find new “homes” for products we no longer need or want. For example, we give things away to charity that we no longer need, in hopes that some else can use it. We also give things away to family, friends and neighbors. Just because we have no use for an electric kettle anymore, doesn’t mean someone else can’t use and enjoy it. Plus it keeps it out of the landfill.
I can appreciate companies that are doing their part to try and lessen the waste that consumers toss out every day.
Take for example the brand J&L Naturals. J&L Naturals offers a more sustainable way to shop with earth-friendly formulas specially crafted using nature’s finest oils, butters, and clays. They use eco-friendly packaging and ingredients, and have an in-house recycling program. You can also recycle to packaging locally. To date, they have prevented over 100,000+ plastic containers from ending up in landfills or even the ocean.
In addition to doing their part to help our environment, J&L Naturals products are vegan, cruelty-free, all natural, sustainable and created in small batches, which ensures your products are fresh and haven’t been sitting on a shelf in a warehouse for the past year.
J&L Naturals offers skincare products, personal products, oral care and more.

I received their “Shine” regime kit to review. The kit contained the following products.
I have never heard (or seen) a Konjac Sponge before. It’s the strangest looking thing.
The Konjac Sponge is biodegradable and are made out of natural Konjac root to gently slough away excess oil, dirt, and dead skin cells. You can use them “as is,” or with your favorite cleanser to reveal a silky smooth glow.
When you first get the sponge, its dry and has a “packaging peanut” sort of feel to it. But once you get it wet, it softens up.
You can use this on your face or body. It’s gentle enough to use just about any where.
I love how it gives you a deep clean feeling without being abrasive. I never thought I could use a sponge on my face, but this is no ordinary sponge. It’s like an exfoliant, but without actually using an exfoliated product (if that makes sense?). You can use this with our without another product. It’s up to you.
I like that is has a small string on it so you can hang it up to dry. I wouldn’t recommend just letting it sit on a counter.
Nice lip balm. Yummy smelling, but doesn’t really have a taste to it. It soothes dry lips (I get dry lips all the time). I like that small size so I can toss it in my bag. Even better, I can recycle this when I’m done with it. There is no plastic in this product, unlike other types of lip balms (I won’t mention brands, but I’m sure you can think of some).
It has a creamy feel to it, not waxy like some lip balms. It’s base ingredients are Organic Coconut Oil, Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Shea Butter, Candelilla Wax. You can tell it has shea butter in it.
I like this kind of lip balm instread of the waxy kind because I feel it spreads out better on the lips and absorb into your skin rather than just sit on top of it.
This is a mud mask that you mix yourself. Simply take a scoop of the dry mud mix and put it in a small bowl. Then add in as much water as you want (choose what consistency works best for you) and apply it to your face (make sure not to go around the eyes). Let it dry then wash it off with warm water.
I’m not really a mask person. I tried this twice, but it’s not really for me. I gave it to my daughter. I know she’s used it a few times. She’s into masks (mostly sheet masks).
I’m sorry that I can’t comment further on this.
This is an ultra-nourishing salve that you can use on your face (I’ve actually used it on some dry patches on my body too). It’s very soothing too.
This balm is made with plants and enriched with vitamins. It locks in moisture, combats dry spots, and can restore balance in your skin.
I was a bit “iffy” about this product initially. I didn’t want it to make my skin look and/or feel greasy. It didn’t. It absorbed into my skin with no greasy look or feel to it.
I have yet to use this over my entire face, but I do add it to dry spots around my face (my chin for some odd reason tends to get dry spots), and the aforementioned dry spots on my body.
A little bit goes a long way too.
This is a nice, gentle, cleanser for both your face and your body. It seems to work very well thus far, and it rinses of perfectly with no residue left behind. If anything my skin feels really clean after I use it.
If you purchase one of the regime kids, J&L Naturals will plant a tree for every kit sold through their partnership with #TeamTrees.
