The older I get, the more I realize that I was foolish in my youth when it came to skin care. Ugh! If only I could go back and time. I would do a lot of things differently. For example, I would wash my face at night and not go to sleep with make up on. I would also use sunscreen… and lot’s of it. I would even tell my younger self to start using products like Vitamin C and retinol to help prevent (or at the very least slow down) the affects aging has on your skin.
These days, I know what my skin needs and doesn’t need. I am always washing my face (in the AM and PM) and applying the appropriate products my skin needs and the correct time of day (some products are geared toward the AM and others the PM).
Just because I know what products my skin needs doesn’t mean that I’ll settle for just anything. I also care about the ingredients of these products. I am not a fan of products that are nothing but long words that can’t be pronounced, let alone know what they do.
I was sent some products from the brand Baebody to review. One of their products, their Eye Gel, is an Amazon best seller with over 13,000 Five (5) Star reviews. That should tell you something.

I was sent a couple of products from the brand to try out for myself. I received to review the brand’s products to try out for myself. I received to review the following.
Baebody Plant-Based Booster Collagen Cream for Face
This popular moisturizer has 4.5 stars out of five on Amazon.com.
According to the brand;
As the skin ages and is exposed to environmental factors like stress and UV rays, it loses its natural collagen, which are the building blocks to healthy skin. Our collagen wrinkle formula is comprised of potent collagen peptides that mimic the body’s natural production of collagen. In turn, this makes the skin cells stronger, smoother, and plumper which rejuvenates the complexion and drastically reduces the appearance of lines, wrinkles, and crows feet.
I have been using this for a few weeks, and I must say it’s a really nice moisturizer on it’s own (even without collagen). It’s a perfect facial moisturizer, and it’s very important to keep our skin hydrated, morning and night.
I always apply a moisturizer in the AM and PM after I wash my face, even if I didn’t wear any make up that day. I just love how fresh, clean facial skin feels.
I only learned about the importance of collagen a few years ago. I wish I knew about it sooner. In a nutshell, collagen helps to keep our skin plump, and helps to keep our skin from sagging.
I noticed when I used to weigh a lot more, my face was fuller and I didn’t see as many wrinkles. After I lost the weight, the wrinkles and sagging skin really started to show. I believe it’s because the fat cells in my face were helping to keep everything in place. I guess in a way collagen does the same thing.
Does it work? It’s too soon to tell, but I do enjoy this moisturizer very much. It’s creamy, yet it absorbs quickly and leaves my skin feeling so soft and nice to the touch.
I’d like to say that it’s working. I get compliments all the time when people find out that I have a 26 year old daughter. I guess that means I don’t look my age, which is nice to hear.
I have been using the collagen moisturizer in the AM, and the retinol moisturizer (below) in the PM. Whether or not that is a correct thing to do, I don’t mind. I feel better knowing that my skin is getting the vital nutrients it needs to keep my youthful appearance (as long as I can).
Baebody Retinol Moisturizer Cream
As per the brand;
Baebody Critically Acclaimed Retinol Moisturizer Cream for Face, Neck and Décolletage with Wrinkle and Acne Fighting Retinol, Jojoba Oil and Vitamin E.
Often retinol is something you need to get by prescription, but some brands, like Baebody, have created products like this for everyone to have access to in a safe way.
My daughter was the one who first told me about retinol. She still gets acne, and she learned that it helps with acne. She has been using a product for a while now (I don’t want to mention the competing brand), but so far, so good. Her face looks a lot better than it has in years.
I don’t suffer from acne (we’re not sure where she gets it from, my husband doesn’t either), but I do appreciate that retinal also has anti-aging properties. That is what I am looking for.
I’m not sure if this is working (yet) or not. It’s only been a few weeks.
I think the blotches on my skin look better, some even non-existent. I’m not sure if this is due to the retinol, the collagen or both?
As a moisturizer goes, just like with the collagen one, it’s a great moisturizer. It feels good on the face and it absorbs quickly. As I mentioned above, people don’t think I look my age. Is it the collagen? Is it the retinol? Is it a combination of both? I’m not sure. All I know is that I am taking the best care that I can of my skin, and I am going to do what it takes not to let aging take over. It’s bad enough my body makes a lot of creaking sounds. I don’t need my face to start to look old.
Check out both products on Amazon. I linked to them (NON-affiliate links – I don’t have an Amazon affiliate account). Most importantly, check out the reviews and see what others have to say about these Baebody products.
