I’m sure many people take New Year’s resolutions to heart. I often hear the line “New Year, new YOU.” That is because people tend to take stock of their lives at the start of a brand new year and make resolutions to take better care of themselves, both physically and mentally. Common resolutions are to lose weight, eat healthier and change careers.
Taking better care of yourself doesn’t always mean what you eat and how much water you drink. Taking care of your outward appearance also qualifies. That can be a new wardrobe or a new hairstyle. Taking better care of your skin isn’t something people would often think about, but it’s just as important and the other options.
I’m in my fifties now. I hate admitting that. I don’t think I’m in my fifties, mentally. I’d like to think I am young at heart. How I look on the other hand, that shows my age. Wrinkles, fine lines, age spots, dark circles, sagging skin… Sigh…
I wish I started taking better care of my skin earlier in life. I want to kick myself every time I think about how I’d go to bed at night with a full face of make up on when I was younger. What was I thinking! These days washing my face is the first thing I do when I walk in the door when I get home from work.
I also wish I used moisturizers, serums and other skin care products DECADES ago. I started later in life. I wonder if my skin would look better if I had started when I was in my 20’s, even my teens.
One of the great thing about doing reviews is that I am introduced to brands and products I might not otherwise get to know about. Some products I’ve received over the years have become personal favorites of mine and I end up being a repeat customer.
Prior to the holiday I was sent to review a product from the brand Nebulyft.
Nebulyft was started with a vision to create a skincare brand that not only provides effective anti-aging solutions but also empowers people to embrace their natural beauty. Nebulyft was founded with the goal of promoting confidence and self-love through radiant, glowing skin. We believe that everyone deserves to feel beautiful, regardless of their age or background.
Nebulyft sells products to help with anti-aging, skin lifting, skin soothing and more.
The brand sent me to review one of their Nebulyft R2 beauty devices.
This is like the “Rolls Royce” of beauty products!

The packaging for this device was my first indication that this was a qualify beauty product. It presents very well, right down to the satin storage bag.
The Nebulyft RS is a small, handheld device. It features a smooth area with “dots” on it (that is the part you use on your skin) as well as a power button and a setting button.
The way it’s shaped makes it fit perfectly into your hand (I have small hands too). It also allows you for to have a good grip on it.
Inside the box I found two tubes of the brand’s botanical soothing gel to use with the R2.
Nebulyft uses advanced technology in a compact package to help with fine lines, wrinkles, dark circles and “de-puffing” your skin. It can also help with collagen production and skin texture. It uses a SAFE radio frequency to accomplish so many things in one neat little device.
I find it so interesting that the Nebulyft’s radio frequency knows what part of your face you are using it for, so it adjusts accordingly. The skin around your under eye, for example, is not as thick as the skin on your cheeks. The Nebulyft intuitively knows to adjust the frequency. You don’t have to do it manually.
The device is heated to help with it’s effectiveness on your skin, as well as when it comes to applying the brand’s product. It’s a safe heat, even for sensitive skin. It actually feels REALLY nice on the skin. I liken it to applying a warm washcloth on your face when you want to relax and unwind.
This is definitely like getting a spa treatment at home.
To use the Nebulyft R2, first make sure it’s charged. It comes with a charging pad that allows you to wirelessly charge the device. The charging pad needs to be attached to a power source, not the device it’s self. That means you can put it on the charging pad and charge it up while you are doing other things. A full charge will give you 6-7 days of use, depending on how long you use your Nebulyft for each day. They recommend 10 minutes per day to get the maximum benefit from the product, but if you only have a few minutes you can still use the device.
There is an app you can also use with this device. The app (which connects via Bluetooth) shows you how much battery life is left on your device. It also offers tutorials for using the device which also act as a guideline so you can follow along to make sure you are covering every area of your face and neck. You also can use the device without the app. Once I knew what I was doing I didn’t really use the app, except to check on the battery life on my device.
To use the Nebulyft, simply apply the soothing gel to the “head” of the device, then gently guide it around your face (in the manner suggested by the brand). It’s that easy!
You don’t have to wash the gel off when you are done. Let it absorb into your skin. The gel not only helps the device glide gently across your skin, but it can also help with hydration, minor redness, skin irritation, itchy feeling and burning. I find the gel to be very soothing. It’s a nice feeling on my skin.
Ideally you should use the Nebulfyt daily for maximum benefit. If you can only use it a few times per week, that is fine too.
I use it for 10 minutes every night, but sometimes I use it for a few minutes in the morning because I feel it it “wakes” my facial skin up and gives me a nice glow. In fact, I don’t like to apply make up afterwards because I love how it makes my skin feel. I have gone without wearing facial make up on the weekends. I just use the Nebulfyt for a few minutes, blot some powder on the shiny areas (nose, forehead), add some mascara and go.
The only thing about using the Nebulfyt is applying it to my neck. I have never used neck skin care products or devices before. That took a bit of getting used to. You don’t have to use it on your neck if you don’t want to. Once I got used to adding that part of my skin to my beauty care routine it became an “old habit” to use it on my neck too. It’s still an odd thing to do (in my eyes) but I know that area of your body needs some TLC too.
I’m NOT good at doing selfies. Whenever I try and do “before” and “after” photos of my face, I never get a good photo. That is the honest truth. If you have been reading my site for any length of time (I’ve been around since 2008), I have complained about that often. The lighting in my home is not the best either, as we get in natural light on only one side of our condo.
There was also some time in December when I didn’t use it daily due to being sick with pneumonia. I didn’t have the “oomph” to do much, so that hindered my overall result. However, I feel better now and I’m back to using the product daily.
As for the results I have noticed thus far, when using the device I’ve noticed that my skin looks more “awake” and glowing. I feel like my skin is smoother. The little wrinkles on the corner of my eyes seem softer, and this one weird deep wrinkle on the side of my right eyebrow doesn’t seem as deep (I only have it on the one side which is odd). My skin is not as red as it sometimes is too. Sometimes my face looks like I was out in a cold wind storm (redness on my cheeks), but I haven’t noticed that much lately.
I am hopeful with continued use (and no more pneumonia – ha ha), I will see even more results from using the Nebulfyt R2.
When you are done, everything fits nicely in the included satin pouch.
I know I am not covering all the bases, and I’m sure I am leaving stuff out (this post is long enough as it is), so I would strongly recommend visiting the Nebulft website to learn more about the R2, as well as their original device and other products.
This is a premium beauty product, so sadly, it’s not “budget friendly” for most people (myself included). I personally think it’s well worth the cost, but sadly, it might not be affordable for many people. One of the brand’s other devices, the R1 Rose, might be a more affordable option.
Visit the brand online at Nebulyft.com. You can also check the brand out on social media. Their links can be found on the bottom of their website.
