I’ll admit it. I’m a big kid trapped in a 40+ year old’s body. I enjoy toys, and I’m NOT referring to the “adult” ones either. I mean actually kiddie toys.
Here is a little known fact about me. I collect Fisher-Price Little People, mostly the holiday sets (Christmas, Halloween, Valentines, Thanksgiving, Easter…). There is just something so sweet about those adorable little faces that makes my heart smile. Growing up all I played with was my Fisher-Price Little People (back when they were made of WOOD!). I would play for HOURS every day with them. I never grew tired of them either.
During the holidays I always set out the Little People as part decoration/part something to play with. My kids still play with them. Shhh…don’t tell anyone but there are times I like to play around with them too. Maybe not for hours on end, but the kids in me does pop up from time to time. I also get a kick out of coloring books, bubbles and Play Doh so that should tell you something about me. LOL!
I have a new set of toys that has quickly become one of my favorites. It’s the new Hasbro Heroes sets. Ok, the are made for boys (little boys too) but they are just so cute!
I’m a HUGE Star Wars fan. I LOVE all six movies and could watch them over and over again. Hasbro Heroes has an entire collection of Star Wars figures and vehicles. What I love about these is that they are CUTE. They are exaggerated replicas of the actual characters. They are friendly looking, not menacing. Each character is roughly two inches in height (although Yoda is much smaller). Even their arms move so your child can act out scenes from the Star Wars movies, or create their own adventures. They even have an Ewok, R2D2, C3PO, Han Solo, Storm Troopers, Obi Wan, a Death Star vehicle, Starfighter and more.
The Hasbro Heroes collection also includes Play Doh stampers, puzzles and games.
Other Hasbro Heroes sets are also available (and equally as cute) including Spiderman as part of the Marvel Super Hero Squad, Transformers, G.I. Joe and of course the Galactic Heroes (Star Wars).
You can see the Galactic Heroes (Star Wars) sets on the Hasbro Toyshop by CLICKING HERE to give you an idea of what the Hasbro Heroes toys are like.
The sets cost around $5.99 and up and would make wonderful stocking stuffers for that special little boy (or not so little boy…LOL) in your life. Children can collect all the sets in each collection too! These would also be great for a younger sibling who is always taking an older sibling’s action hero figures.
The Hasbro Heroes sets are for ages 3+. They are made of hard plastic. I suppose a hand or arm could come off it it’s pulled on very hard or chewed on. With normal play I don’t think they would pop off. I have yanked on the arms and they haven’t popped off, but if your 3 year old still puts things in his mouth I would suggest waiting a bit until he no longer does. In my opinion these are very well made but you wouldn’t want to take chances.

Hasbro Heroes sets are available at Target, Walmart, Toys R Us and other retail locations that sell toys.
Excuse me now while I assist Yoda in fighting off the evil Storm Trooper to defend the Universe. Another day…another adventure…
