The stockings are hung. The presents are wrapped. Christmas cards are mailed out. Wait! Uh oh! You just realized you forgot to pick up a gift for your neighbor. Or you neglected to pick up cups and plates for the office Christmas party.
No worries. Just swing by your local Family Dollar store for any last minute holiday items you might have forgot to pick up. Family Dollar has it all, from last minute gifts to all you need to trim your tree.
One item we totally forgot about this year were gift bows. You can find them at Family Dollar for only $2.00 for a large bag.
My family likes to donate as much as we can to local charities, especially toys for children and food for the local food bank. I try and stock up on things whenever possible. For example, if the store has a “buy one, get one free” option I’ll give one of the items to our local food pantry. Or whenever we can we pick up store brand pet foods to donate to the local animal shelter. Our family doesn’t have much money either, but we can still afford store brands. I rather the animals have food to eat then no food to eat.
We love to do what we can to provide children with holiday gifts. Did you happen to read my post about my husband and the sweet thing he did for a local family we’ve never met before, and probably will never meet again? If not, here is the post,

If you find yourself at Family Dollar you could always pick up a few toys to donate to a local charity so that a child doesn’t have to go without a gift this holiday season. You can find cute toys for $5.00 – $10.00. Plus you can save 10% when you purchase $100 in toys (no coupon necessary).
My husband’s job had a holiday party this past Wednesday. My husband’s contribution to the party was cups, plates and napkins. We could have easily picked up the store brand at our local grocery store, but my husband wanted something a bit more festive. We were able to find holiday theme cups, napkins and plates at Family Dollar. Why spend a lot of money on something that was going to be tossed out? We were able to find something perfect for the holiday party and it came to LESS then what the grocery store’s generic brand would have cost.
We were also able to pick up some extra wrapping paper and tape for only $1.00 a roll and $1.00 for a two-pack of tape.
Family Dollar has extended hours to help you out with last minute needs. Stores will be open from 7:00 AM t0 10:00 PM on Christmas Eve and from 10:00 AM – 3:oo PM on Christmas Day.
