I’m not a “girly-girl” in the sense that I am not crazy about shoes, handbags and make up like some of my female friends are. I have friend who won’t dare leave the home if their shoes and handbags don’t match. LOL!
I do like “bling.” I like bling A LOT. Anything shiny and sparkly that catches my eye I need to check it out. My husband even jokes that I need to wear “blinders” when we are at the mall walking past the fine jewelry stores.
I love jewelry, especially gold and diamonds, but sadly our budget simply doesn’t allow for it. I cannot afford designer jewelry, or can I?
When I was younger my mom wanted a piece of jewelry from Tiffany. The only problem was their pieces were way out of our family’s budget. Some how, some way, my mom was able to save up for a necklace. It was just a plain, simple necklace, but the fact that it was from Tiffany she was thrilled. She even kept the infamous Tiffany box.
I would never in a million years think that I could have a piece of jewelry from Tiffany or similar designers like Cartier, Hermes or Rolex. But that is not the case at all. I could afford pieces from these designers thanks to TrueFacet.
TrueFacet is a disruptive company whose mission is to rid the marketplace of fake designer goods and bring transparency to the online jewelry marketplace.
Working with the jewelry industry’s top authenticators, including veterans of Cartier, Tiffany and other prestige brands, every piece sold on TrueFacet is examined and certified authentic and refurbished to “like new” before a sale is finalized. A testament to their commitment to quality, the company has filtered and caught over 750 fakes thus far.
This Spring they are preparing to launch their #EndFakes campaign to raise awareness of the prevalence of fakes in the marketplace, the emotional toll of wearing them (Imposter Syndrome!) and the criminal industries tied to counterfeit jewelry.
I’m actually shocked at how many fakes there are on the marketplace. I know that the “designer” handbags they sell on the sidewalk are all fakes and knock offs. It’s blows my mind to think that people are getting the “real deal” for a fraction of the cost.
Many years ago my daughter purchased a “Coach” bag from a sidewalk vendor. My husband and I joked that it wasn’t a Coach but rather a “Couch” since it was not real. We had to try and explain to her about fakes and knock offs. She was very disappointed that her bag was not real. She was young so she didn’t really understand.
I checked out TrueFacet for myself. They have so many lovely pieces in a variety of price points.
TrueFacet let me pick out a piece of jewelry so I could see for myself that “like new” quality of the jewelry. I picked out a diamond ring. I love rings but it’s not easy to find rings in my size (I have a thick finger). I was thrilled to see a ring in my size.
I chose the 10K White Gold Multi Cut Diamond Swirl Ring (pictured above). It’s beautiful! It has a lot of shine and sparkle to it, just the way I like it. It also fits perfectly on my finger.
This ring is made out of 10K white gold with .33ct of real round brilliant diamonds and diamond baguettes.
This ring would normally sell for around $482, but on TrueFacet it sells for a much more budget friendly price of $165. How often can you find such a beautiful ring like this with read diamonds and real white gold for that price.
Many items on TrueFacet are brand new (like my ring). Other pieces are previously owned. TrueFacet makes sure they are in perfect condition before reselling them. It’s a consignment shop for jewelry.
Just look at some of the piece currently available on the site.
14K Yellow Gold Fresh And Water Pearl With Diamond Accent Ring ($299)
Tiffany & Co. Large Elsa Peretti Open Heart Pendant And Chain ($270)
Cartier Love Bracelet YG Diamonds ($9,495)
Oscar De La Renta Blowing Leaves Motif Earrings ($146)
As you can see the prices can range. Most people can’t afford the $9,000+ bracelet, but they might be able to afford $50 to purchase this beautiful ring (10K Pear Shaped Amethyst And Diamond Ring).
Or perhaps this Alex And Ani Charm Bangle Bracelet for $28.00.
Because many of these pieces are being sold on consignment the inventory changes often. I would recommend bookmarking the site and checking back often to see what goodies you can find.
You can search by jewelry type (ring, bracelet, necklace, cuff links…), size, brand, metal type, gender, condition and other options.
All the jewelry sold on TrueFacet is certified 100% authentic so you know the pieces you are buying are the real deal and not fake knock offs.
I am in love with my ring and I have received many compliments on it. I like that its fancy but not too fancy. I can wear to work and running errands as well as a night on the town or to a fancy event. I can’t believe this gorgeous ring is sold at an affordable price.
I even gave my husband a link to the site.
If you would like to learn more about TrueFacet, or to check out he lovely pieces of jewelry, go to www.TrueFacet.com. Don’t forget, you can sell your jewelry on their site too. Please refer to the site in regards to that.
You can also find the brand on social media (the links are found on the bottom right of their website).
With Mother’s Day just around the corner this would be a great site to shop for mom at.
What do you think about TrueFacet? Have you ever purchased something you thought was real and found out that it was a knock off or a fake?
