I try and eat healthy whenever possible. I will admit that I have a weakness for chocolate and ice cream, which I do indulge in. But otherwise I try and make “better for me” choices when it comes to what I eat and drink.
I don’t eat much meat. It’s not by choice really. I had surgery that sometimes makes it difficult to eat meat. If I don’t chew it to a mush-like consistency it gets “stuck,” which ends up being very painful. I usually eat my vegetables first, then my carb, then meat, just in case the meat gets stuck and I can’t eat anymore for a while.
Aside from eggs, I don’t really get enough protein in my diet. I’ve tried protein shakes but I find them utterly disgusting. I have tried several different brands and flavors too. I thought I found one I liked after trying a sample. I bought ten bottles, then realized when I tried it again that I didn’t like it.
Imagine if their was a yummy way to get some protein in your diet, that was more like a treat than shake? There is! It’s called Naked Cookie protein cookies.

Naked Cookie is made by the brand Naked Nutrition. Naked Nutrition is known for their protein powders and supplements. Now they have fresh baked cookies too!
Naked Cookies contain 10 grams of grass fed whey protein. They are even low in sugar, which is great too.
The cookies are available in three great flavors – chocolate chip, oatmeal raisin and classic sugar cookie. Two of the tree happen to be my top three favorite cookie flavors (chocolate chip and oatmeal raisin). Maybe they’ll add my other favorite to their product line some day – peanut butter?
Naked Nutrition was kind enough to send me some samples of their Naked Cookies in both chocolate chip and oatmeal raisin flavors.

I was pleasantly surprised to see how large these cookies are. I joked with my family that they were more like a meal than a snack. They are certainly filling and satisfying.
Each cookie comes individually packaged, so you can “grab and go” whenever you need a snack. These would be ideal for keeping in your desk at work, or tossing in your gym bag for a pre-or-post workout snack.
Each individual cookie are only 190 to 210 calories (chocolate chip and oatmeal raisin are 190, sugar cookie is 210).
The cookies are Soy-fee, GMO-free, and do not contain high fructose corn syrup.
The first cookie I had to try was the chocolate chip cookie. Chocolate chip cookies are my #1 favorite cookie.
I was concerned that these would be lacking in flavor or taste like “cardboard.” That was not the case at all. I found them to be very chocolatey (to my surprise) and nice and soft. They tasted freshly made too.

I can only eat half of the chocolate chip cookies because I find them a tad bit too sweet for me. I’m not a fan of things that are too sweet. My husband and my kids (young adults) also tried the cookies. My husband wasn’t a fan, but my kids loved them. My son especially because he is big into protein powders and supplements, as well as going to the gym. I had to HIDE the cookies from him or else he would have gobbled them all up.
I gave him a few which he tossed in his backpack that he takes to work. The cookie helped him get through his shift without looking for another snack (a not-so-good snack such as chips).
The oatmeal raisin cookie was my favorite of the two cookies. Even though it’s filled with raisins, I didn’t find it too sweet. It was perfect in every way. I always finished all of the oatmeal raisin cookies. I couldn’t stop eating it once I started (ha ha). In fact, when I took the picture for this post I couldn’t resist breaking off a small piece.

This cookie is oh-so-satisfying!
I let my son and daughter try ONE cookie each of the oatmeal raisin. The rest I hid for myself. They were just too good to share anymore.
The oatmeal raisin cookie and the chocolate chip cookie only have 1 gram of sugar each. The sugar cookie variety has 5 grams of sugar. I Googled how many grams of sugar the average chocolate chip cookie has (for example) and I saw 11 grams of sugar. That is a huge difference!
All three cookies are sold on the Naked Nutrition website. You can order them in a box of 12 cookies (single flavor). You can do a one time purchase, or you can subscribe and save an extra 20%.
