Growing up I always dreamed of having my own bedroom. Up until my 16th birthday I had to share a room with my sister. For my 16th birthday I FINALLY got my own room – a walk-in closet that was converted into my bedroom. Needless to say it was tiny. I was able to fit a twin size bed, TV and a small desk. That was pretty much it. These days my old bedroom is a walk-in pantry.
When I was younger and envisioned my own bedroom I also wanted to have my own bathroom. We had had one full bathroom (shower & bathtub) and two half bathrooms (toilet and sink only). I hated having to share the bathroom. I wanted my own space.
These days we have ONE bathroom for the four of us. Oh how I miss the days of having two half bathrooms.
My kids know plenty of other kids who have their own bathrooms. They are so lucky!
I love creating “themes”. For example, years ago I stenciled our entire dining room to resembled an outdoor garden. It took me about a year to do it. I also accessorized with realistic looking animal figurines and 3D butterflies that I place randomly around the room. I really went all out to achieve the look I was going for (after two years I was bored with it and we repainted).
Once our bathroom had an “Under the Sea” theme. EVERYTHING in our bathroom was ocean related.
Creating theme rooms is fun, especially if you do it in such a way that you can change it up when the mood strikes.
Softsoap recently released new Star Wars and Disney Frozen Foaming Hand Soaps. To celebrate the launch of the new collections, Softsoap challenged some bloggers to give their bathroom a “movie makeover” inspired by the two popular films.
They sent me their new products to try out. I would LOVE to create a Star Wars themed bathroom. We are big Star Wars fans. Even two of our cats are named after Star Wars characters – Anakin and Padmé.
There are so many products on the market that would work great in a Star Wars themed bathroom.

Star Wars garbage can found at Macys.com.
And these super cool bath towels from Kohls.com.
For fans of the immensely popular Disney film, Frozen, there are also plenty of fun products available to dress up your bathroom in a “Frozen”theme.
Disney’s Frozen shower curtain found at Walmart.com.
I love this Disney’s Frozen bathroom collection found on Amazon.com.
Or this fun collection, also available on Amazon.com.
I love that you can add just a few, replaceable accessories to change up a room’s theme. You don’t have to go crazy painting the walls, applying wallpaper or anything expensive or more permanent then a rug and a drinking cup.
This is why I enjoy the new Star Wars and Disney’s Frozen themed foaming soaps from Softsoap. They really add to the room’s theme.
Even Darth Vader, Yoda and Olaf approve.
I love the designs. True fans of either (or both) films will also enjoy adding them to their bathroom, or even kitchen.
The soap goes on easily. Kids also love foaming soaps. It also rinses well and doesn’t leave any residue.
Look for the new Star Wars and Disney’s Frozen foaming Softsoap where ever soaps are sold.
