Available today is the third installment to the popular Night at the Museum series – Night at the Museum 3: Secret of the Tomb. Sadly this will be the last Night at the Museum movie staring the late Robin Williams.
I love the Night at the Museum movies. In fact my whole family does. They are fun and entertaining and you get to learn a bit of history too.
The American Museum of Natural History – where the first film takes place – is one of my favorite New York City destinations. My husband and I are planning a trip back to the museum this summer. I could spend the entire day there. I love it! If you ever have the opportunity to visit there you really should. It’s an amazing place.
I have not seen the 3rd movie – yet. I plan on watching it this weekend with my family.
If it’s laughter you’re after, get ready for the most hilarious night ever! Ben Stiller leads an all-star comedy cast, including Robin Williams, Owen Wilson, Rebel Wilson and Ricky Gervais, for one final, fun-filled Night at the Museum. This time, Larry Daley (Stiller) and his heroic friends embark on their greatest adventure yet as they travel to London in order to save the magic that brings the museum exhibits to life!
The Blu-ray™ comes with tons of special features that will have the whole family laughing! You can check out how Stiller got into character for his alter ego Laaa, get a behind the scenes look at The British Museum and learn how the film’s iconic fight scene inside an M.C. Escher painting came to light. Best of all, every Blu-ray™ comes with a bonus Digital HD movie – not only do you get a Digital HD version of Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb, but you also get a Bonus digital movie – your choice of one of the other movies in the franchise.
Of course no movie is complete without awesome bonus features. Check out the features that come with the Blu-ray and DVD copies of the film.

I can’t wait to watch the film this weekend. Maybe I’ll pop in the other two films and have a Night at the Museum movie marathon.
One of the stars of the Night at the Museum films is Dexter, the lovable yet very mischievous monkey. He always makes me laugh.
Thanks to Fox Home Entertainment I received a plush Dexter and other goodies to take Dexter on family adventures. If you follow me on Instagram (SheScribes) you probably saw the photo I published a few days ago showing the rascally Dexter swiping a sip of my ice coffee.
I’ll be sharing photos of Dexter on our family adventures over the next several weeks. Make sure to follow me on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to see what Dexter is up to next.
Think of this as a “Flat Stanley” but with a cute plush monkey.
Other bloggers are participating in this fun campaign. To see what their Dexter is up to look for the hashtag #TrackDexter.
Speaking of Dexter, there is a new FREE app available that allows Dexter to “photo bomb” your photos.
Make your photos come to life using this fun photo-editing app! Add static or animated stickers of the cheeky Capuchin, Dexter, to your pictures for a hilarious addition to your favorite memories.
Dexter can mischievously photobomb you and your friends, or lovingly give you hugs and kisses. Either way, the monkey madness is sure to get a laugh!
Key Features:
- Customize your photos with NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM film elements, including stickers, frames and filters
- Add animated stickers, such as Dexter kissing, jumping, eating, hugging and slapping
- Save the creation to your camera roll as a photo or video
- New stickers to be released via push notifications
The app is super easy to use. You can even use an animated Dexter.
Here is Dexter photo bombing a photo of me at a recent NYC event.
And here is Dexter enjoying our new bedding set. LOL!
To try out the app for yourself visit the iTunes store and search for Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb app. I can’t wait to see your photos.
In addition here are some FREE printables you can save and print out to enjoy with your family. Simply click on the image for a larger view and safe to your computer.
