Now that I am “officially” Diabetic I have to make extra certain to keep track of everything I eat and drink. That means that Easter favorites like Jelly Beans are off limits (I ♥ black Jelly Beans!). Sigh…
I love black Jelly Beans, spicy Jelly Beans and Jelly Belly Jelly Beans. Jelly Belly beans are fun to eat too because you don’t always know what flavor you are going to have. It’s also fun to combine Jelly Belly beans to create your own unique taste. They even have recipes where you can create great flavors like strawberry cheesecake just by combining two or more Jelly Belly beans.
With Easter right around the corner I’m sure many people will be purchasing Jelly Belly Jelly Beans to add to their child’s Easter basket, or to enjoy themselves. Jelly Belly beans are also available year round.
If you are looking for some fun non-candy treats to add in an Easter basket you should check out the new line of non-candy products from Jelly Belly.
Jelly Belly now makes candles, nail polish and body wash, to name a few. All of the products are scented with popular Jelly Belly flavors like Strawberry, Island Punch and Coconut.
Jelly Belly products are great for ‘tweens, teens and adults. My teenage daughter went crazy over the Jelly Belly products, especially the nail polish. Both of my kids, as well as myself (and I suspect my husband, although he won’t admit it) all use the shower gel. The Jelly Belly candles can be enjoyed by the whole family.
Jelly Belly sent me an assortment of products from their non-candy product line including a candle (scent unknown), jar candle (Island Punch), shower gels (Coconut and Strawberry) and nail polish (not scented), plus a few bags of Jelly Belly Jelly Beans (they were not part of the review – they were just a tasty extra).
I love the Island Punch jar candle. My teen daughter begged me to let her have it but I don’t like the idea of a young teen having a candle. She said she didn’t want to light it. She just wanted to have it because it smelled so good. Ha! That is the very same reason why I want to keep the Island Punch candle on my desk. It smells awesome! It has more of a grape smell then an Island Punch smell. It reminds me of something that I haven’t been able to pinpoint yet.
The candle does not smell like Island Punch when you burn it. I doesn’t really have a smell. That might be because it’s a soy based candle. After you blow out the candle and it cools down the scent returns to normal.
The other candle is really nice too. I’m not sure what the scent is. If you ask me I’d think that candle was more so a Island Punch scent. I don’t think its a soy candle either. It doesn’t smell when you light it but it does return to normal after the candle is extinguished.
Both candles are very fragrant and colorful.
My daughter went crazy for the nail polish. It doesn’t smell like Jelly Belly Jelly Beans but the colors are very bright and vibrant like the Jelly Beans. The “kit” came with an assortment of colors (red, pink, teal blue, purple and glitter). The kit also included a separator so that you could paint your toes too (which she did). This special Jelly Belly nail kit would be PERFECT for a ‘tween or teen girl for Easter. It would make a great birthday gift and holiday stocking stuff too. My daughter even asked me if there were more Jelly Belly nail polishes available.
The shower gels are nice. They are really fragrant. We have Coconut and Strawberry. The Coconut reminds me of summer time (suntain lotion). The Strawberry is very sweet smelling. It doesn’t smell like real strawberries but more so a strawberry scented candy.
The shower gels give off their scents while you shower. The scent is more so for the shower. That is OK. I’m sure my husband and son would rather not smell like Coconut or Strawberries all day long. You will smell it as soon as you come out of the shower but the scent quickly goes away.
The shower gel is also available in Orange Sherbet, Kiwi, Island Punch and Berry Blue.

Oh I bet all the products smell yummy. Jelly Belly Rocks!!!
food scented candles are the best! i also love jelly beans but not the black ones
Neat! I never knew they made that stuff!
I’m diabetic & jelly beans are not “off limites”. That is a myth that everyone thinks you have to give up sugar when you have diabetes. Carbs now effect your body the same way sugar does. It’s all about moderation. You can a few jelly beans at a time and still not run up your blood sugar. It’s the same as if you eat a small dinner roll would be to your body. There is absolutley no food I consider off limit because of diabetes. You can even have a small slice of cake or pie as long as you keep the small slice moderation in mind. Test yourself & you’ll see over time there’s no off limit foods just smaller portions of whatever you love.
Where can one purchase these noncandy products? Are they available in most states?
