As far as I’m concerned no Easter basket is complete without a package of marshmallow Peeps. Growing up I always had a package of yellow chicks in my Easter basket. They never kept for long because my dad would usually enjoy a Peep or two before I had a chance to have them.
Peeps have come a long way over the years. These days Peeps are no long associated with only Easter. Peeps pop up during most holidays including Halloween and Christmas.
I love that the Peeps brand keeps developing new ways for consumers to enjoy the sugar coated marshallow goodness in different forms and flavors. This holiday season is no exception.

I had the opportunity to try many of this year’s holiday offerings, along with my family. Some of the Peep varieties barely made it out of the box before someone in my family gobbled it up. The Chocolate Covered Mint Flavored Marshmallow Trees were there first to disappear. It happened so quickly that I didn’t even have a chance to snap a photo of them.
All of the chocolate dipped Peeps are SO GOOD! I love the Chocolate Dipped Candy Cane Flavored Peeps. Only the base is dipped in chocolate so it’s not “chocolate overkill”. The Candy Cane Flavored Peep is perfectly minted. It really does taste like a candy cane.
My husband says that that this Peep reminded him of a popular chocolate mint candy. I won’t mention the brand but it’s one you can purchase at the movie theater.
The Sugar Cookie Flavored Marshmallow Chicks (also dipped in chocolate) have a nice flavor to them. You can taste the vanilla. I wouldn’t say they taste exactly like a sugar cookie, but they do have a unique flavor and you can taste the Vanilla.
I love the Christmas Rainbow Pop idea. We were sent one to review. My kids fought over who would get it so I let my hubby have it. 🙂
Think of it as a Peep-kabob. It come with four colorful Peeps strung together on a lollipop-like stick.
I have Gingerbread Flavored Peep Gingerbread men. We were going to use them as decorations for our Gingerbread house that we make every year but this year we opted to make Gingerbread Snoopy Dog Houses (from a kit) and the Gingerbread Men Peeps are too big. 🙁
Regular flavored Peeps are always great, but flavored ones are even better! With Peppermint Peep Stars and yummy Chocolate Mousse Reindeer (complete with a red nose) you have a lot of great flavors to choose from. Or you can enjoy two Peeps together (try combing Peppermint and Chocolate Mousse).
Try popping a Peep into your hot chocolate. It’s awesome! I love the Peppermint Peep in my hot chocolate (it gives it just a kiss of a minty flavor).
Peeps make great stocking stuffers. Who would love a couple of packages of festive holiday Peeps tucked inside their holiday stocking.
If you are looking for fun recipes and craft ideas check out the official Peep website, www.MarshmallowPeeps.com. They have A LOT of fun ideas there. Some are from Peeps and others are shared by Peep lovers from around the world. Some of my favorites are the Peeps Snowman.
Here are few craft and recipe ideas that I found on the Peeps website. All photos are copyrighted to Peeps. I’m just sharing them to show readers the kind of fun stuff they can find there.
I wanted to try and make ornaments out of Peeps. I thought about leaving them out to harden, but I was afraid our dog or cats would eat them if they were hung on the tree. I also didn’t to attract bugs. I thought about spraying them with shellac or something along those lines but I was afraid the shellac would at away at them and it would decay.
If you have any suggestions on how to make a Peep ornament that would last at least a month please feel free to tell me about it in the comment section of this post.
Have you ever made a recipe or craft with Peeps? I would love to hear about it. Better yet see a photo of it.
Have you tried any of the holiday Peeps yet? Do you have a favorite?
