Personalized Holiday Gift Ideas from Things Remembered (Giveaway)

If you are like me and still stumped on gift ideas for family and friends, why not considered a personalized treasure from Things Remembered.

Many years ago, back in the Stone Age (ha ha) when I was around 12 years old my Mom, or shall I say “Santa”, gave me a bracelet from Things Remembered that had my name engraved on it. It was similar to this one.

I LOVED that bracelet. I wore it all the time. I can’t even remember why I stopped wearing it or whatever happened to it over the years.

When I was a teenager and young adult I used to visit Things Remembered a lot looking for gifts for my Mom and Dad. They always had the nicest stuff. I vaguely remember wanting to get my Dad a personalized silver money clip. I also remember wanting to get my Mom a personalized locket, but I wasn’t sure how to make a picture of our family tiny to fit inside.

Fast forward to 2010. Things Remembered still offers beautiful personalized gifts just like they did when I was a kid.

I like the idea of giving a personalized gift because it shows the recipient that you put thought into their gift. Its not like you grabbed it while racing through a check out line. A personalized gift has to be well thought out. Even more so if the personalization is a special message or saying.

Buying a special gift for my husband is not so easy. He’s a big time Dallas Cowboys fan so I can always use that as a fall back just in case I can’t find anything else for him, but really, how much Cowboy related stuff can one person own? I would much rather get him something useful and something that won’t sit on my shelves that I have to dust. Things Remembered has 167 products that would make great gifts for men. That is a lot! There are pages of great ideas to scroll through to find the “perfect” gift.

Some interesting gift ideas for my husband that I found on the Things Remembered web site include a personalized USB key chain for my husband to carry computer files to and from work, a cool “Decision Maker” desk top “toy” and a cool mug. I know that mugs are rather boring but this mug has an interesting shape to it. I know my hubby loves to drink hot chocolate while at work. I really like the look of the mug.

If my husband wanted to do a little shopping at Things Remembered for me I would have no problem with that. Several products caught my eye and I would be thrilled to receive any of them this Christmas (hunny if you are reading this post take note – ha ha). I am in love with this silver necklace that features 3-D butterflies and birthstones for every member of your family. OH! I would LOVE to have this necklace. It’s a good price too.

I also collect snow globes that we put out for the holiday season (they are Christmas ones). Things Remembered has photo snow globes that you can put your family’s photo in and display it year round. I really like that idea. It would look great on my desk.

Things Remembered also has gift ideas for babies and children. I would love to buy our daughter a beautiful piece of jewelry, I just need to wait for her to be more responsible with her things.

I do have a GORGEOUS necklace from Things Remembered. Its from their special product line that benefits the Make a Wish Foundation (www.Wish.org). Its the 2010 Make a Wish necklace. With every purchase of this necklace, Things Remembered will make a donation to the Make a Wish Foundation, with a $200,000 minimum. I tired to get good photos of the necklace but the flash always messes things up. Hopefully you get an idea of how beautiful this is. Even the display box is charming.

This necklace really adds a lot of sparkle and dazzle to your person when you are wearing it. The heart shaped pendant features baguette style crystals that surround the stone in the center. You can see from the photo that when the light hit is the necklace it REALLY shines. There is no way anyone would miss this necklace if you wore it out and about, especially on a sunny day.

I have worn this necklace several times. Each time I have already received some kind of compliment about the necklace. Most of the time people would comment on how shiny it was. Its hard to ignore something so sparkly and shiny.

  59. Can I just tell you that I LOVE Things Remembered. We got all of our bridesmaid and groomsmen gifts from there and I have bought loads of gifts for family from there as well. It is so hard to pick just one thing from the site, but I think I would go with the Sterling Birthstone Heart Necklace with Free Keepsake Box! I have wanted a necklace with my husband, son and my birthstones for a while so this would be perfect!
