If you read my earlier post about the pain relieving medication that kills the staph infections you’d know that when it comes to my families health I am very careful about the products that we use. I might actually be considered “neurotic” when it comes to wiping down door handles and other frequently touched things in our home with soap and water and Lysol if someone in the home is sick. There is nothing worst then having your child sick at home with you knowing there is not much you can do for them (especially for something as simple as a common cold). Worst yet is when YOU are sick. After all, there is no one there to care for mom when she’s sick, right?
I keep a handy little pump spray bottle in my purse called Remi-D. It’s a wonderful smelling hand sanitizing mist. If you have ever used hand sanitizers before you know how they can burn because of the alcohol they contain. They also smell pretty bad too. What I love about Remi-D is that it kills up to 99.99% of germs, it’s all natural, kid safe, not messy and smells GREAT! The one I have smells like Cucumber and Tea Tree. They are coming out with new scents too, Seaside Mineral Spa and Mountain Stream. I can’t wait to try those ones out. They sound like they would smell awesome!
Because it’s so compact I can take it anywhere. I use it to spray the handles on shopping carts (they are a serious “germ fest”!) and when I am done shopping (to remove any germs on my hands). We also spend a lot of time visiting the animal shelter and petting all the animals. Sometimes we get extra special “kisses” from a sweet little dog or cat. As much as we love those “kisses” we don’t want to risk bringing anything into our home that could affect our dog or cats. So after our visit we all spray our hands with Remi-D.
My daughter has a friend who keeps on in her backpack so that she can make sure her hands are germ free after gym class (touching all the dirty equipment) or after using the public phone. I think that is a great idea! Since it’s kid safe you can give one to an older child to keep in their backpack.
Remi-D is all natural. It uses strong and effective ingredients from nature which avoids the use of synthetic lab chemicals. Remi-D is also free from toxic ingredients like Triclosan and Paraben. It also does not contain alcohol which has been proven to dry out your skin. Especially in the winter season the last thing you want is more things to cause you to have dry skin.
The handy Remi-D bottle is about the size of a Zippo cigarette lighter so it can easily fit in just about anywhere. They also have available a larger spray bottle (great to keep on hand at home or in the glove compartment in your car) and a foaming sanitizing soap (you know how much kids love the foaming soaps).
You can learn more about Remi-D by visiting their web site www.Remi-D.com.
Remi-D is available at CVS (check online at CVS.com) and various locations in the Northeast such as A&P, Pathmark and Shop Rite.
