There are so many beautiful places around the world that I would love to visit someday (at the rate I’m going it will have to be in another life, sigh…). My “Bucket List” is a mile long.
I have always wanted to visit Asia. My father has been to Japan, and my mother has been to China. I’m also into K-Dramas and horror (Korean). I would very much love to do a tour around Asia, including the Philippines.
When I think of the Philippines, I think of exotic beaches and lush greenery. I envision five star resorts and straw huts with breathtaking ocean views. Ahhh… maybe someday.
I have been into Asian beauty brands for a few years now. I find that Asian brands are quality made and very effective. When I think about Asian beauty brands Korea and Japan come to mind. Honestly, I never thought about the Philippines when it comes to beauty products. As it turns out, the Philippines also has a lot to offer when it comes to quality beauty products.
I was recently introduced to one such brand – Pili Ani .
Infused with proprietary Pili Active Oils (PAO) and enriched with Elemi Oil, Pili Ani formulas draw from age-old tradition and deliver visibly radiant, nourished and healthy skin. Purify, detox, protect and hydrate with natural, consciously crafted Filipino Skincare Products featuring truly Filipino ingredients. Experience the transformative power of Pili Ani Skincare.
There is a fascinating backstory to this brand and how it’s ingredients are sourced. I have never heard of Pili or Elemi before. Their backstory tells consumers more about these fabulous ingredients, as well as how this brand ethically sources these ingredients and helps out local farmers. You can read the backstory here – PiliAni.com/About. You should also take a moment to read about the brand’s beginnings too – PiliAni.com/Our-Beginnings.
Pili Ani offers a variety of products. In addition, I find their packaging to be very beautiful and unique for skincare products. Here is just one example of the packaging I am referring to.

So pretty!
Pili Ani offers both skin care products, as well as beauty products. Currently their beauty products are lip butters, one of which is tinted that can also be used on your cheeks (more on that later in this post).
Pili Ani was kind enough to send me a couple of their products to test out for myself, including their award winning best selling Self-Care Night Recovery Oil.

Self-Care Night Recovery Oil
Wake up to radiant, revitalized skin with the Pili Ani Self-Care Night Recovery Oil. This luxurious, antioxidant-rich formula is infused with powerful Pili Oil and deeply nourishing botanicals to hydrate, repair, and restore your skin while you sleep. Our Self-Care Night Oil works overnight to calm irritation, reduce redness, and prevent breakouts, leaving your skin balanced, smooth, and glowing.
Skin Benefits:

I always worry about using oil based products on my face. I don’t want it to make my face look or feel greasy. I also don’t want oil based products to clog my pores.
This product absorbs quickly into my skin leaving behind a glow-y appearance. It also leaves my skin feeling soft.
Your skin will feel instantly hydrated when you use this product. A little bit goes a long way too, which is always nice.
My skin still has that glow-like brightness to it in the morning, and it’s still soft. I don’t know what “magic” it does overnight, but I wouldn’t mind this as a daytime product too. It’s only used for night time.
The night oil has a very subtle scent to it, which is pleasant. It’s not overpowering at all. I know some people are sensitive to scents, so I thought I should mention this.
I am not 100% sure if this product is the reason why, but I feel like my skin tone looks more even too. I often get red blotchy spots on my face (I’m not sure why). I haven’t noticed them since using this product at night. The tonality of my skin looks pretty even.
As far as other nighttime serums on the market goes, this one is competitively priced, which is also nice.
I can see why this product is a best seller.
Moisturizing Tinted Pili Ani Lip Butter

- Deeply moisturizes lips with a noticeable pop of color
- Smooths cracked, flaky lips
- Helps reduce the appearance of fine lines on lips
- Velvety texture with a demi-gloss finish
- May be used on cheeks

I don’t wear lipstick. I don’t like how it often leaves your lips feeling dry. I also don’t like how it makes my lips feel either. I’m strictly a Chapstick girl (ha ha).
I’m always open to giving a product a try, and I was interested in this product because it’s a lip butter, meaning it’s meant to moisturize your lips. The color tint is an added “bonus” if you ask me.
This tinted lip butter is available in seven (7) different colors currently. I’m glad they sent me a light color since I have such pale skin. I received the brand’s Rose’ lip butter.
As far as moisturizing is concerned, this lip butter is a fantastic moisturizer. It leaves my lips feeling soft and smooth. It’s also helped to repair my chapped lips (when I had them). Best of all, I don’t mind the feeling of this product. It’s not a waxy feeling like Chapstick, but rather it’s a smooth, silky, creamy feeling. I don’t mind the feeling at all.
I like the color. It’s light enough for my pale skin. You can see the color on the back of my hand (above). The color seems to stay on for a while.
You can also use this product as a blush. I was worried it would make my cheeks took glossy, but if you rub it in just right it only leaves you with the color and no glossy look. I’ve used this a few times as a blush.
I don’t normally wear much make-up during the week. Wearing a tinted lip product is something I would use on a special occasion, but I still like this. It’s much better than the lipsticks I have tried over the years.
