If your family are fans of those funny vegetable characters from the Veggie Tales franchise you’ll be happy to know that Veggie Tales in the House is now available on Netflix.
On Nov. 26, VeggieTales, the most popular faith-based children’s entertainment brand, unveils a brand-new Netflix original series for kids, VeggieTales In the House. The all-new series marks the first time in the 21-year history of VeggieTales that Bob, Larry and the veggie crew venture off the countertop for exciting new adventures, while remaining true to the values-driven storytelling that has long made VeggieTales such a beloved part of childhood.
In VeggieTales In the House, the veggies will take on a new, refreshed look as DreamWorks Animation puts its creative muscle behind the beloved faith-based brand. VeggieTales creator Big Idea became part of DreamWorks in 2012 as part of the studio’s acquisition of Classic Media. “We’re excited to give the beloved VeggieTales a brand new adventure,” said Cindy Holland, Vice President, Original Content, Netflix. “For many of our 53 million members worldwide, this will be the first time they’ve been introduced to the world’s most entertaining vegetables. We hope many more families become fans of this wholesome preschool series.”
Veggie Tales in the House is now available on Netflix in the US and Canada as well as a few other countries around the world.
Veggie Tales in the House features 22 minute episodes. Each one contains two separate 11 minute stories/adventures.
Staying true to their brand, Veggies Tales in the House imparts important life lessons in each episode to please both new Veggie Tales fans and long time fans of the brand.
Each episode features brand new songs.
Currently there are five episodes of Veggie Tales in the House available on Netflix with more episodes to be added soon. So far I have watched three out of the five.
The current episodes are;
- Puppies & Guppies / Sorry We’re Closed Today
- Bob and the Answer Frosting Mustache / Bob & Larry: Getting Angry
- Bob’s Bad Breath / Trading Places
- Jimmy and Jerry are Rich / Feelin’ Hot Hot Hot
- Laura at Bat / Pie Fight
All of the episodes I saw so far are cute and funny. I especially liked Bob and the Answer Frosting Mustache and Feelin’ Hot Hot Hot.
The quality of the animation is wonderful. It’s done in 3D-like computer generated animation.
Unlike other “kiddie shows” the songs in Veggie Tales in the House are NOT annoying. I think many parents can relate to how sometimes children’s songs are not pleasant to listen to – especially over and over again. I actually liked most of the songs in the episodes I’ve seen thus far. They are rather catchy. They don’t sound like children’s songs.
As a mom (even though my kids are older than the show’s demographics) I can appreciate the life lessons each episode teaches. This is truly a family friendly show.

I have a special treat for readers too! For the holiday season you can call Bob and Larry!
Just call toll-free, 1-844-2-VEGGIES (or, if you’re more numerically inclined, that’s 1-844-283-4443). Bob the Tomato and Larry the Cucumber are manning the phones 24 hours a day, telling jokes, singing songs, sharing Scripture and even providing recipe tips to families all across the U.S.
I also have some adorable activity sheets that you can save, print and enjoy. Simply click on the following links to view and save the ones you want.
I’m sorry that I don’t have images available for each one but if you click on the links you can see them.
