Spring is here! Well almost. It’s still a bit cold here in New York. However warmer weather is just around the corner.
When the warm weather finally kicks in people tend to pack up their Winter coats and insulated underwear 🙂 and break out their short sleeve shirts, shorts and capris.
After being buried under layers of clothing all Winter long our skin is not exactly in ideal condition. Aside from being pasty white (like me!) our skin is course, rough and dry. Before we plan on wearing the first pair of shorts of the season we need to get our skin in tip top shape.
I have a wonderful coconut inspired three step “recipe” to give you the perfect Spring legs.
I received several products free to review. There was no compensation. All of these products will help bring your drab skin back to life.
Step 1: Scrub Away Winter Woes
A dash of sweet and a pinch spice starts off the recipe for super soft skin! New c. Booth Ginger Sugar Body Scrub energizes and uplifts your senses thanks to fortified sugar granules that stimulate and smooth by removing dead cells on the skin’s surface. The added Coconut Oil will provide deep and real moisture leaving legs super soft.
Step 2: Smooth Legs
Now that you have scrubbed away all the winter damage, give your legs the advanced nourishment they deserve with the reliable Schick® Intuition®, the only razor that lathers and shaves in one easy step. The new Schick® Intuition® Pure Nourishment™, targeted for women with dry skin, features a unique Skin Conditioning Solid™, now infused with Coconut Milk and Almond Oil. As an essential multi-tasking beauty accessory, this new razor is full of antioxidants as well as Coconut Milk to moisture skin for results that are both smooth and radiant.
Step 3: Add Extra Moisturize
Complete the recipe with c. Booth 4-in-1 Coconut Fig Body Lotion. The 4-in-1 Multi-Action Body Lotion promotes healthy cell turnover with a powerful combination of Alpha Hydroxy Acids, Shea Butter and Sweet Almond Oil to keep skin hydrated, and Caffeine to help firm and tone. Vitamins A and E provide antioxidant support to the skin, while Coconut Oil adds to the delicious aroma and strengthens the underlying tissues for legs you can’t help but show off.
I had the opportunity to try out all three products. Here are my thoughts about them.
c. Booth Ginger Sugar Body Scrub – I love sugar scrubs! I’ve never met a scrub that I didn’t like. This scrub is no exception. It does a wonderful job exfoliating the dead skin off of your entire body – not just your legs. I used this on my legs, arms, elbows and hands. It rinses cleanly and leaves skin feeling soft.
The only thing I wasn’t necessarily fond of was the scent. I love Ginger but for some reason I just wasn’t overly keen on the scent. That is OK. As long as it does it’s job I can live with it.
Schick® Intuition® Pure Nourishment™ – These are my favorite razors. I love how you don’t need shaving cream or lotion. Simply wet your skin and let Schick Intuition do the rest.
The razor is surrounded by a solid soap-like material that rubs off on your skin as you are shaving. It helps the blades to glide across your skin without knicking your skin. It does a great job helping you to get a close shave too.
It rinses off well and leaves your skin feeling silky smooth and soft.
c. Booth 4-in-1 Coconut Fig Body Lotion – This bottle is HUGE! Even using it all over my body it’s going to take months before this bottle is empty. It does leave your skin really soft. I’ve used it on my dry hands too and it’s help to provide them with instant relief.
I tend to get a lot of dry patches on my skin and this lotion has done an excellent job moisturizing them. I am very pleased with it’s performance.
The only downside is that my husband is not fond of the scent. When I shower and shave at night and apply the lotion he makes comments about how he doesn’t like it. So I have just switched my routine to the morning after he’s gone to work. I happen to like the scent. It’s different. It’s not “perfumey”, floral or fruit-like. It’s hard to explain. It has it’s own unique scent.
Individually these products do a great job at making my skin ready to show off to the world. When you combine the three – watch out! You are going to want to show off your skin every chance you can get. Your Winter skin will only be a faded memory.
c. Booth products are carried by many retailers including Drugstore.com, Ulta, Freeman Beauty and other locations. Schick Intuition razors are found at grocery, drug and mass retailer stores across the country.

I really need to start using scrubs. It seems like the older I get, the duller and dryer my skin is getting.

Besides the fact that I am sure this would make your legs feel heavenly (I have used scrubs before and LOVE THEM), it sounds like it would smell delicious :)!. Great idea, thanks!

My skin could definitely use a little pampering before it’s ready for spring fashions. I’ll have to keep an eye out for the lotion…that scent sounds like something I’d enjoy.

My legs tend to get dry. I usually put baby oil on them before I get out of the shower.

Coconut oil is great. I always used to mix some with a little melted beeswax, and I made a solid lotion out of it. The coconut smell is wonderful – always reminds me of suntan lotion and summer in the middle of the cold, dreary winter!
