Other things I planned on was having everyone get dressed up, including lots and lots of “Bling“. After all, it’s not the Oscars without the bling. Sadly the men are not really getting into this as much as the ladies are.
I am also going to take pictures and pretend to be like the paparazzi. I might even ask my kids to assume that role, at least until bedtime, so that they feel involved.
I have some non-alcoholic sparkling cider on hand and I am going to zip over to the party store to look for champagne flutes to serve it in.
Hyundai has some really fun recipes just for Oscar night. The best part about their recipes is that they are named after movies nominated for an Oscar this year. Check them out below.
My favorite is “Inglorious Custard”. LOL! The “Up in the Eclair” looks really tasty too. I’m going to see about making the “Up” cupcakes for the kids and let them watch “Up” in the other room and enjoy their special treats too.
Toss in some popcorn and some finger foods and we’re all set! Now I just have to figure out what to wear.
Are you planning on having an Oscar party this year? If so, what kinds of things are you going to do? I would love to hear from my readers.
