Queen Elizabeth recently celebrated her 90th birthday. She looks very good for her age.
My mom was from the United Kingdom, as was my grandparents/great-grandparents. I still have plenty of cousins in the U.K. that I am fortunate to see from time to time.
I have a few special items that were given to me by my great-great-Aunt. One items is a coin that was made to commemorate the Queen’s Coronation.
In honor of the Queen’s birthday, Walkers Shortbread created a special birthday tin featuring the Queen. In addition, the shortbread cookies found inside the tin are made in the Union Jack shape (British flag).
I love Walkers Shortbreads. They go GREAT with a cup of tea, and even coffee.
I’m not one to dip thing in my tea, but Walkers Shortbreads are the only thing I will dip in my cup of tea. They were made for one another. They are also delicious “as is.”
This special tin would make a wonderful gift for anyone who is a fan of the Queen, or simply loves to collect royal things.
With Mother’s Day coming up, this would make a great gift for mom. You could pair this with a box of Twinings English Breakfast Tea and maybe a beautiful tea cup and saucer. You could even make up a whole gift basket with British and/or tea themed items.
Hurry! The tin is a limited edition and will only be available for a short time.
