I know a lot of people love the summer season, but I’m not a big fan of heat and humidity. I love autumn. It’s my favorite season. I love the perfect-weather days and cool nights (I sleep so much better when it’s cool outside). I also love the leaves changing colors and the start to the holiday season.
Now that our minds are off of flip flops and bathing suits, we have moved on to more seasonal things like sweaters and anything pumpkin spice flavor.
Pumpkin spice things are nice, but there are other ways you can enjoy the fall season. One such way is with gourmet chocolate. And no, I don’t mean pumpkin spice chocolate either (although that does sound good).
If you read my blog on a regular basis you have probably seen reviews for Chuao Chocolatier. They have some truly unique flavor combinations.
Here is a little background information about the brand;
Chuao Chocolatier is a pioneering brand that is arousing consumers’ senses with today’s most innovative flavor combinations, including milk and dark chocolate paired with potato chips, bacon, honeycomb, chilies, popping candy, panko breadcrumbs, olive oil and more. The brand’s all-natural, handcrafted and ethically sourced line of chocolate bars, bonbons, drinking chocolates and specialty items are crafted from a proprietary blend of premium chocolate and fresh, natural ingredients. All of Chuao’s delicious creations are developed at the masterful hand of Venezuelan Chef Michael Antonorsi, Master Chocolatier!
I have tried several flavors fro the brand. They recently sent me a few flavors that are ideal for the fall season.
Cinnamon Cereal Smooch: What better time of the year for a hint of cinnamon? In the morning or at night, this bar is a perfect mouth-watering snack at any time.
This chocolate does taste like it’s mixed with cinnamon breakfast cereal – kind of like Cinnamon Toast Crunch (or at least that is how it tastes to me).
I love chocolate kissed with a touch of cinnamon. It’s a great flavor combination. You would never think to put cinnamon and chocolate together – but they perfect flavor combination. I wish more chocolates were made with cinnamon.
I wouldn’t recommend eating this for breakfast (LOL!) but it is a nice late morning / early afternoon snack treat.
Strawberry Waffle Wild: Crunchy waffles fall for bits of tangy strawberry in milk chocolate.
I know what you are thinking – strawberries are not a fall staple. But warm, fluffy waffles on a chilly fall morning are.
Strawberries and waffles… is there a better flavor combination? Toss in some chocolate and you have a flavorful chocolate bar. I challenge you not to want to eat the entire bar in one sitting. Personally I had a hard time stopping. I had to break off a piece, wrap up the rest of the bar and put it away or I WOULD eat the whole bar.
Just like with the Cinnamon Cereal Smooch bar, this one is not for breakfast (but it sure does taste like it would make a great breakfast).
Baconluxious: If you’re craving a hint of maple, don’t hesitate to dive in to the maple-y sweetness of this salty meets sweet bar. The crispiness of bacon touched with the sweet maple syrup is a pairing to entertain your mouth.
I was anxious to see what my son thought about this chocolate bar. Lately he’s been obsessed with bacon. He’s into anything made with bacon. I just had to have him try this chocolate bar.
I can’t imagine why anyone would think to pair bacon (a cured meat) with chocolate. It sounds kind of gross.
This was one chocolate bar I was a bit hesitant to try. After seeing my son enjoying it I gave it a try. It’s actually really good. You can taste the bacon and the sweetness of maple syrup, but it’s not overpowering. It’s most like a touch of bacon. You don’t eat huge chunks of it. Dare I say I really like this one, even though I really didn’t get a chance to eat much of the bars because my son claimed them for himself.
I forgot to mention that these bars smell good too. I also appreciate that they are sectioned off into bite size pieces so you can take as little (or as much) as you want. I’m a 3-square person. I always go for three squares.
Now that the fall season is finally here it’s time to celebrate with delicious, mouth-watering flavors from Chauo Chocolatiers.

I live in Florida so it’s still super hot but I’m so looking forward to the end of October when it starts to cool down. I sleep better when it’s cool too. This chocolate sounds delicious! I really like the unusual flavor combinations. So tasty!
