I have to admit that I get hungry at odd times. I had weight loss surgery about 20 years ago that sort of didn’t go so well. Without going into details let’s just say that I can’t eat much at one time, but, I get hungry – A LOT. Usually I just grab something small like a cheese stick or an apple and I’m OK. Last night, well, let’s just say I should have quit while I was ahead.
I was up late last night working on an order for my business. I felt a bit hungry (mind you this was about midnight) so I went and grabbed a cheese stick and a glass of water. When I went into the fridge I noticed the chocolate chip cookies from the bakery sitting next to the Brita pitcher. From that moment on I had chocolate chip cookies on the brain!
After I returned to my work and gobbed up the cheese stick and drank the glass of water I STILL had that darn cookie on my mind. I was almost obsessed with eating that cookie.
Around 12:30 AM I caved and succumbed to my temptation and had a chocolate chip cookie (which was SO GOOD). However I had just had a cheese stick about a 1/2 hour earlier. Within minutes of having the cookie I felt the cheese stick and the cookie were NOT getting along in my tummy. Oh no! Not at all! I’m convinced that chocolate chip cookies and cheese sticks are a lethal combination. Ewwww… my poor tummy!
I didn’t think taking Pepmo was a good idea. I didn’t want to add that minty taste to the mix so I went to get my Queasy Drops. And guess what… I didn’t have any left! There was a box in my glove compartment in my car (I keep them in my car in case I don’t feel well when I’m out and about) so I had to lug my butt outside into the parking lot to retrieve my Queasy Drops from the glove compartment. THANK GOODNESS I had those!
Have you ever tried Queasy Drops? They are really good and subtle tasting, not like Pepmo which has that minty taste (my husband says Pepmo tastes like liquid chalk…ha ha). Queasy Drops were originally created to help with morning sickness for pregnant women and to help children undergoing chemotherapy. However Queasy Drops are also a safe and effective way to ease a queasy stomach associated with seasickness, motion sickness and general upset stomach. Or in my case – chocolate chip cheese!
Queasy Drops also makes Queasy Pops (lollipops) for kids. I love that there are no medicines in Queasy Drops and Queasy Pops. They are 100% safe even for my kids to take.
Queasy Drops and Queasy Pops are also made with natural ingredients including Sugar, Corn Syrup, Citric Acid, Natural Flavors (essential oils of cola, raspberry, lemon , green apple, papaya, peppermint and cinnamon), Red Beet Color, Red Cabbage Color, Turneric Color, Annatto Extract, Carmel Color and Soya Lecithin. Queasy Drops and Queasy Pops also come in different flavors so some of the ingredients will vary by flavor. Some of the flavors include Peppermint, Sour Raspberry and Ginger.
What I love about the Queasy Drops is that they very subtle tasting. Since they are a hard candy like product all you need to do is suck on them. Honestly, my stomach feels better after a few minutes when I take one. Peppermint is good for an upset stomach as is Ginger.
To learn more about Queasy Drops and Queasy Pops you can visit their official web site as www.QueasyDrops.com. You can also order Queasy Drops and Queasy Pops from their web site (click on the Order Now tab). They are also available at Walgreens, Amazon, Target and other retail locations.
NEVER! EVER! Will I eat anything chocolate within hours of anything Cheesey. OH NO! That was the worst feeling in the world. Especially because it was after midnight and here I am in the parking lot close to 1:00 AM getting the Queasy Drops out of my car just so I can feel better.
Lesson learned…the hard way!
