Are you one of those people who worry about putting on weight during the holiday season? I know most people worry about that. It’s hard not to when you are surrounded by homemade pies, freshly baked cookies, cocktails, gourmet chocolates and other things that make you feel like you are packing on the pounds just looking at them. I think I gain 10 pounds just looking at the holiday candies and cookies at the grocery store. 🙂
Have you seen the Yoplait advertisements where they encourage you to swap out one high calorie snack with a Yoplait yogurt? My favorite is the boyfriend “swap” commercial.
LOL!
Imagine if you could swap a slice of pumpkin pie or fresh baked apple pie with an equally delicious, less fat and calorie treat? You can with YoCrunch’s seasonal yogurts – Apple Pie Parfait and Pumpkin Pie Parfait.
If you follow me on Instagram you probably saw my photo of YoCrunch Pumpkin Pie Parfait that I uploaded a few weeks ago. A future relative that follows me on Instagram saw that photo and actually went straight to our local grocery store THAT DAY and looked for the Pumpkin Pie Parfait (he LOVES anything and everything pumpkin). Sadly our local store didn’t carry it.
I love pumpkin pie so I was excited to try out the Pumpkin Pie Parfait. YoCrunch sent me and my family some samples to try out. I was instantly attracted to the Pumpkin Pie Parfait.
The Pumpkin Pie Parfait is made with vanilla non-fat yogurt, REAL pumpkin and graham cracker topping. I loved swirling everything together so I got a little bit of pumpkin, vanilla yogurt and graham cracker crunch in every spoonful. Because it’s made with real pumpkin it doesn’t have an artificial taste. Dare I say it even has a bit of a homemade appeal to it. If I blind folded you and had you try a spoonful you might not guess it was yogurt you could buy from a grocery store. It tastes like a special treat that your grandma might have made.
My kids LOVED the Apple Pie Parfait. There are little bits of apples in it, which they liked. I have to laugh because my kids loved this yogurt but they won’t eat real apple pie.
The Apple Pie Parfait is also made with non-fat vanilla yogurt, real apples and cinnamon with a cinnamon crunch topping.
Luckily our local grocery store carried the Apple Pie Parfait so I was able to get more for my kids. I see that there is a Cherry Pie Parfait also available but I haven’t been able to find that one yet.
Each YoCrunch parfait cup (referring to Pumpkin Pie and Apple Pie) have 80-90 calories. The topping adds about another 40 calories. You can enjoy the yogurt cup “as is” or with the topping. I like them either way. My kids liked to add the topping. Sometime they would enjoy the yogurt and then eat the crunchy topping afterwards.
I like that you can swap out a slice of apple or pumpkin pie for one of these tasty little parfaits. I know it’s not the same, but it’s a perfect swap. You are still getting the pie flavor, just not the fat and calories.
These are seasonal flavors so if you want to try them out I suggest you don’t wait too long or they will be gone.

Have you tried any of the new pie parfait flavors yet? If so, what did you think about it? Do you have a favorite pie parfait flavor?

I would try the pumpkin kind since I like that flavor and might swap it for a slice of pie.

I like to have about 100 calories as a snack so maybe I could add just a dash of toppings. Isn’t it always the “fixins” that do the damage, lol These sound awesome though so I’ll have to try them.

Yum! They look delicious! Im trying to eat as much pumpkin flavored anything before its all gone, sadly im the only one in my house who likes the flavor so i try not to bake a whole pie so its nice to find products like this. I’ll have to try it!

I love Apple Pie so I’d love to try the Apple Pie yogurts but knowing myself, swapping out Apple Pie for the Apple Pie yogurt just wouldn’t work..
I’d skip the pie and have the healthy snack and then think about the pie all day and all night and then end up eating 10x more pie in a binge then I would have had I eaten the slice of pie I wanted in the first place, lol.

We love the YoCrunch yogurts and parfaits. I didn’t know they had a pumpkin one. I have had the apple and it’s awesome! I have got to try and find the pumpkin parfait.
