Brrr… there is certainly a chill in the air. Even as I write this, I can feel a bit of a chill inside our home. Sadly, we live in a condo complex where the board controls the heat (even though WE own our condo). We are at their mercy. They can turn the heat on (and off) whenever they feel like it’s time to do so. For that reason, we have a lot of blankets and have already dug out our sweatpants and sweaters.
It’s not even winter yet and already my skin is getting dry (especially my hands) as well as my lips. Ugh! From a beauty standpoint, I am not a fan of the colder weather. I feel like I get dry all over, from my hair to my toes. For that reason, I often change up my beauty routine when the seasons change. For example, in the hotter months I tend to wear more lightweight beauty products, and products with extra sun protection. In the colder months, I use beauty products that contain more moisturizer.
The change of seasons makes it almost mandatory to update your skincare routine.
If you are in the market for some new skincare products that can take you into fall, winter and beyond, let me introduce you to the brand Fleuri Beauty. I’m not sure if it’s the true meaning of the brand name, but “fleuri” means “flower” in French.
Originating from Japan, Fleuri has been an expert in providing effective, yet gentle skincare products since 2002. Instead of formulas that only provided temporary effects, this brand refocuses skincare to help consumers long-term with products that offer comprehensive care to all your beauty needs.
Fleuri’s products are designed to be gentle on the skin, perfect for everyone including those that have sensitive skin.
In Japan, the brand is already well known as a celebrity favorite. They are excited to expand to the U.S. market and support even more people in their skincare journey.
I’m actually a fan of Asian beauty brands. I like that many of them utilize natural ingredients, and/or take a more holistic approach to beauty. They are more about the quality than the (mass produced) quantity of their products.
I was sent to review Fleuri’s Clear Gel Cleanse and Gentle Make Up Remover.
I prefer to have a fresh clean face. I know a lot of people can say that too, but what I mean is that I would rather have a fresh, clean face than wear make up. Don’t get me wrong, I’m okay with wearing make up, but when I don’t have to, I prefer a fresh, clean face.
The moment I step in the door when I get home from work, the very first thing I do is wash my face. I don’t know how people can sleep in a full face of make up. That would drive me crazy!
I often have a love/hate relationship with facial cleansers. On the one hand, I love having a clean face. On the flip side, I find that often cleansers leave my face feeling dry, or “tight.” I’m sure some people know what I mean about the “tight” feeling. That is why I am always quick to apply moisturizer right after I was my face (or other products with a soothing effect).
Gently removes makeup and dirt from pores. Contains natural plant extracts that replenish the skin while removing dirt, resulting in plump and soft skin.
Above are some of the ingredients in Fleuri’s Clear Gel Cleanse.
I was hoping the product had a citrus and/or hibiscus scent to it, but it doesn’t. It doesn’t have a scent at all.
According to the brand, these are the benefits of using this product to clean your skin.
I have been using this product for a few weeks. So far, so good.
I like that this product does an excellent job cleaning my skin and removing make up. My skin doesn’t feel irritated, but I do get a bit of a “tight” feeling after use. Maybe that has more to do with the Artichoke Leaf Extract then other drying agents found in other cleansers? I’m honestly not 100% sure. I know once I use this, add my serum and moisturizer, my face feels oh-so-good!
I’m not sure if the product has shown me a significant improvement in my overall skin’s appearance and texture, but I can tell you that I bumped in to my “big boss” a week and a half ago after work one day. I haven’t seen her in about a year. She said, AND I QUOTE, that I look “younger and younger” every time she sees me. I don’t see it, but maybe people who don’t see me on a daily basis can. I’m not saying this product has a lot to do with it, since I’ve only been using it a few weeks, but maybe it’s a combination of products I’ve been using. Who knows. I’ll take that compliment however. That totally made my day.
