Have you seen Disney’s movie Tangled yet? My whole family enjoyed that movie. We were lucky to see an advanced screening shortly before it was released.
Did you know that Tangled is Disney’s 50th animated feature film? Can you name all 50? I sure can’t.
If you haven’t seen the film yet and are interested in reading my review you can find it here, https://www.shescribes.com/2010/11/disneys-50th-animated-feature-tangled-review-giveaway.html. The giveaway is over but you are still welcome to read the review.
I am sure that plenty of young girls will be asking Santa for some Tangled merchandise and toys this holiday season. I have seen some pretty cute things recently based upon the movie.
Did you know that there is a Tangled game available for both the Nintendo DS/DSi and Wii? We have the Nintendo version.
This is a really cute game that is based upon the movie with all the main characters like Rapunzel, Flynn, Pascal and Maxius. I would say that the characters in the game look really good and a lot like they did in the movie. They even feature the same voices as in the movie too.
I would say the game is more geared towards younger children. Most people might think this game is more for young girls then young boys, but my son played it several times and seemed to enjoy it, although he won’t admit to it. He keeps telling me that its a “girl game”. From what I can tell both girls AND boys can enjoy it.
Similar to the movie, players need to help Rapunzel and Flynn find their way to the castle in time for the Festival of Lights. Along the way players will be asked to perform tasks and play mini-games.
The games features a lot of locations from the movie like the Snuggly Duckling (love that name!) and the forest. I think many children who are fans of the movie will be happy to see recognizable backgrounds and characters from the movie.
The games are REALLY easy to play. Even a young child should have no problem playing them. I honestly wouldn’t say they were challenging at all. I’m a bit of a novice when it comes to playing on the Nintendo or Wii and I had no problem figuring things out.
The games are quick and simple such as painting posters or brushing Rapunzel’s hair.
The animation for the game is adorable and its very colorful, similar to the movie. The music and sound effects add to its charm and appeal.
I wish we had the Wii version because I would love to see if it had the same games and if the characters looked the same as they do on the Wii as they do on the Nintendo.
The game is rated “E” for everyone and the retail value is $29.99 (although I have seen it cheaper).
This would make an idea holiday gift idea for the Tangled fan in your life.

My 9 year-old daughter loves Tangled and the Nintendo DS, so I’m definitely buying this game as a stocking stuffer for her this Christmas. Thanks.
FYI, since the whole family loves movies, I also got her “Film Fest in a Box” (“Powered by Girls” version) so we can all play together for the holidays. (You might want to check it out and review it?) We watch four short films, choose our faves and vote online). It’s another way for the family to have some good, clean fun together and enjoy movies as well.
