Let’s face it, the bathroom is not always the nicest place to look at in our home. Nobody really spends that much time in that room. Sure, you keep it clean and pleasant looking, but decorating your bathroom is probably not a top priority.
Believe it or not I like to decorate the bathroom during the holidays. I decorate my entire home from top to bottom and all the rooms in our home have some kind of decoration or decorations in it. Sadly, once the holidays are over the bathroom goes back to look plain and boring.
Softsoap is releasing a new line of liquid hand soaps called the Softsoap Décor Collection. Not only are the scents delightful the bottles are also decorated nicely to add a splash of color and design to an otherwise boring sink top.
The new soaps come in three enticing fragrances – Peony & Plum, Orchid Petals & Mint Water, and Wild Basil & Lime (Wild Basil & Lime is my favorite).
Not only do they smell lovely but they look really pretty too. The bottles have nice designs on them and the colors are soft and pleasing to look at.
Softsoap sent me all three soaps to try with my family. They also challenged me to “dress up” my sink using the Softsoap Décor Collection as inspiration. This was going to be easy because my bathroom sink area was pretty much a blank canvas.
The soap fragrances, colors and designs made me think of a garden. But not just any garden – one filled with exotic flowers. Orchids and Peony are in the soap names so I used them as my focal point.
I couldn’t find any faux Peony flowers but I did find some wonderful orchids. I decorated the area around my sink with exotic flowers. Of course one of the Soapsoft soaps were front and center too.
Here is the “after” picture.
It would be nice if my daughter didn’t leave her retainer cup on the sink all the time.
It’s hard to tell from the photo but the small fake flowers both look like they are sitting in water. The one on the back of the toilet looks like small branches in a glass of water with some pebbles and the one on the sink looks like orchids in dirt and that the dirt is wet (it looks that way).
The large orchid on the toilet looks real in person – except the leaves. They are a dead giveaway that the plant is fake.
I would use real flowers but I tend to kill flowers and I’m also worried about my pets eating something that is poisonous to them.
Who would have thought that something as simple as a pretty bottle of soap could inspire you to “dress up” your sink.
Look for the new Softsoap Décor Collection on a store shelf near you.
