On New Year’s Eve (2015/2016) our youngest child, our son, completed a “milestone” – he received is driving learner’s permit. Sigh… Our little boy is growing up.
Life is filled with milestones, especially when you are a child. There are so many “firsts” – first tooth, first time riding a bike, first day of school… The older you get the less “firsts” you have.
I did experience my first helicopter ride and my first hot air balloon ride. Those were fun (and they were on my “Bucket List”).
In 2015 our daughter had a lot of “firsts” and milestones as far as teenagers are concerned. She went to senior prom, she got her first job, she graduated from high school, she started college and she has her first boyfriend. Needless to say it was a big year for her.
I long for the days of the first tooth and first steps. My kids are growing up way too quickly.
Life Stages is hosting a fun photo contest for the month of January. Life Stages makes sharing life’s special moments more fun and rewarding, all while providing insights, information, and inspiration to help your family plan for the future.
The contest theme is “Milestone Moments” of 2015 (first tooth, learning to ride a bike, starting school, great home run, whatever people want to showcase as a milestone).
Along with each photo entry entrants are asked to answer this question as part of their photo caption – “My child’s milestone moment of 2015 is…”
Entering is very easy. Simply upload your photo on the Life Stages photo contest page on Facebook. Then encourage your friends and family to vote for your photo. People can vote once daily.
You are welcome to enter as many photos as you want. I like this because you don’t have to choose just one milestone. If your child (or grandchild) had more than one you can enter multiple photos.
There are three (3) $100 cash prizes that will be awarded. After the holidays most of us could use some extra cash.
The contest ends on January 31, 2016 at 11:59 PM (EST).
For more information or to enter please visit the Life Stages Facebook Contest Page.
Did your child/grandchild experience any milestones or “firsts” in 2015? Do you plan on entering the contest?
If you enter (and I hope you do!), good luck!
