For a movie that was made decades before color and modern film technologies, I am very impressed with what the film makers were able to do.
Check out how Alice practically dives into the rabbit hole. I found it funny they made Alice appear to grow larger and larger. It also appears they super imposed the Cheshire Cat onto the film, which I’m sure back them was a major feat to accomplish.
I found the children dressed up as cards cute. Check out the cows in the background when Alice is watching the parade of cards. Funny… I don’t remember cows in the Walt Disney version. Ha Ha.
The movie is over 100+ years old and very choppy, almost un-viewable at times. Considering how old it is it’s amazing that any of the film still exists.
Show this to your children after you take them to see the new Tim Burton “Alice in Wonderland” film with Johnny Depp and have them compare the two. Personally I think will ever compared to the Walt Disney version of the classic tale from Lewis Carroll.
