I enjoy receiving flowers. I especially love it when my husband sends me flowers for no special reason at all. He’s even stopped at the florist on his way home from work to get me a small bouquet of flowers. I am grateful to have a romantic and loving husband.
I have sent flowers to people too. Usually it’s for condolences (sadly), but I have also sent flowers to celebrate a birthday, anniversary and the birth of a child.
Flowers are a lovely gift to send someone who lives far away. They also make for great last minute gifts when you neglected to purchase something, or you were at a loss as to what to gift the recipient.
Most online florist have pre-designed bouquets for you to choose from. That is perfectly OK, and that works for me as well as everyone else. But what if you wanted to create something a bit more special for the recipient? What if you wanted to design the arrangement yourself?
Floracracy is an all-new online floral shopping experience. Floracracy’s technology allows the consumer to build one-of-kind arrangements by selecting the flowers themselves based on their meanings, style and occasion.
Founder, Sarah-Eva has some tips to help bring a touch of holiday cheer to life with fresh blooms. Instead of focusing on red and green for Christmas in your florals or bold blue Hannakuh, consider burgundies, lavenders, gray-blues, deeper rose pinks, and corals. These colors reflect the color trends of the season and they give a unique entry point for holiday experiences.
For those who want to take a moment to convey messages and to tell a story, especially this holiday season when we might not be traveling for intimate gatherings, you can do so with a bouquet from Floracracy.
Customers can expect:
- Order flowers based on variables including style, occasion and the particular meaning of each variety (carnations for love and tea roses for sorrow)
- Include a beautiful letter that shares the message either written by the buyer or one of the company’s in-house writers
- Flowers overnight in a refrigerated box across the lower 48 states
I had the opportunity to order from Floracracy in order to do a review.
Ordering is easy, and everything is done step by step, so you can take control over the design and meaning of the arrangement.
I need to use the term arrangement because honestly, these are much more than a simple bouquet. These are truly beautiful floral arrangements.
You are welcome to let the people at Floracracy design an arrangement for you, if you prefer. It’s up to you.
Your next step is to select what the arrangement is for (Love You, Home Decor, Missing You, Happy Holidays…).
Next up you get to select what kind of arrangement you are looking for (centerpiece, statement piece, coffee table decoration…).
Don’t worry if you change your mind during the design process. You can always hit the back button to change your selection.
You will be asked what message you would like to share with the recipient (congratulations, romantic love, happiness…). All of these questions help to narrow down designs that will suit your needs.
After that you select the date you want the flowers to be delivered on. There are a few dates already sold out, but Christmas Eve is still available.
The next thing you will need to choose is the style of the arrangement you would like (whimsical, bohemian, rustic, old world…).
There are so many options, but all of them help to narrow down the perfect arrangement.
I won’t go through every step, but I can tell you that each step is easy to answer.
Once you have answered all the questions, Floracracy will show you a design based on your answers. If you are not happy with the design, you can go back and change your answers. You also have the ability to change the flowers if you are not happy with the design.
You literally get almost complete control over the entire arrangement. It’s a truly personalized experience.
I received an arrangement from Floracracy that I designed. To say it’s amazing is an understatement.
First and foremost, Floracracy includes lovely “extras” with the bouquet. I received a really nice pair of scissors, a small notebook, a small bag (great for cosmetics) and a pretty postcard. I also received the personalized note and information about the flowers in the arrangement. I really appreciate that the company goes above and beyond to make this a truly one of a kind floral experience.
The brand also includes three packages of “food” for the flowers to extend their life.
The flowers I received were also wrapped in a nice cloth.
I should mention that they take great care in making sure your flowers arrive at their destination safe and sound. They are securely placed in the box to ensure they don’t bounce around and that the vase doesn’t get broken.
Look at how lovely my arrangement is. It made me smile every time I looked at it.
Look at how HUGE the vase is. I love it!
I currently repurposed the vase to hold holiday candy. It’s very large and it has a huge opening. It’s hard to tell it’s size from this photo.
Here are some close-ups of some of the flowers in my Flocracy arrangement.
I love all the unique looking flowers in this arrangement. Many of them I was unfamiliar with, but together they look stunning.
There were two wooden “rods” in the bouquet when it arrived. I wasn’t sure if it was part of the arrangement or it had something to do with protecting the flowers during shipping. I ended up leaving them in. I liked how it looked.
The rods had black ribbons tied on them. I took one of the ribbons and tied it on to the vase. I think it looks nice.
This has been a wonderful experience. The flowers I received are absolutely gorgeous. I especially love the unique flowers that also came in the arrangement.
Floracracy is a bit pricey compared to other services. but you are paying for the opportunity to create your own arrangement, as well as receiving quality flowers (and vases!) and a unique floral delivery for the recipient.
Floracracy is not only a great gift for anyone, year round. It’s also a great source for stunning arrangements for your next event or party (weddings too!).
