Other fun events happening this month include;
July 27th – August 11th On weekends, check out renowned dinosaur expert Neil Brown as he presents the DINOSAURS ROCK® Adventure Show, a massive exhibit of life-size dino fossils and artifacts! Watch as he brings the museum to you in this fun, interactive presentation. Neil is showcasing hundreds of authentic fossils and museum-quality casts from his collection, including a meteorite that is over one billion years old! The oldest genuine fossil on display at the zoo is the collection of 150 million year old Apatosaurus bones from a dig in he attended in Morocco. Come here Neil talk about the exciting digs he has gone on and the miraculous fossils he has found! This magnificent display is on exhibit daily from 11-4 July 27- Aug 11. Neil’s weekend presentations are at 1pm, 2:30pm, & 3:30pm on Saturday & Sunday. August 24th & 25th Join Denisha & Chica from the popular live children’s TV series The Sunny Side Up Show on Sprout for an interactive adventure show with a prehistoric theme! Did you know that Chica and dinosaurs share most of the same DNA? That’s right, birds are actually living dinosaurs! Come see Chica the bird in this exclusive performance about the fascinating link between modern birds and ancient dinosaurs, only at the Bronx Zoo.
After each performance, Sprout will host a meet & greet on site at the Zoo. Don’t miss a take-home goody bag that will include Sprout activity books, crayons, and stickers! August 24 & 25 at 11:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m., and 3:30 p.m.
August 31st – September 2nd Come meet everyone’s favorite dinosaur from the popular children’s book series, How do Dinosaurs…? This classic children’s series, written by internationally acclaimed author Jane Yolen, shows that dinosaurs who sometimes misbehave are still loved. Don’t miss this exclusive meet and greet, which will take place at 1pm, 2:30pm, & 3:30pm.

I’m a huge fan of dinosaurs.. I remember when we had the little fossil searches in the sand area of our science museum. I probably would’ve loved to stop at the bronx zoo as a little kid!

I haven’t been to the Bronx Zoo in quite a few years. These are some great events, we’re only about 3 1/2 hrs away, this would be a fun road trip before back to school. Thank you!
